Desventajas: "Fake marketing! They said it will be some snacks for economyXtra, and then 2 hours before the flight sending an email saying that the snakes will be charged! Disappointed!"
Desventajas: "I paid Xtraeconomy to have some snacks during the fly, and they end up coming with a trolley to pay! Disappointed!"

Desventajas: "Seats were atrociously uncomfortable for a 6'1" man. Less than zero leg room due to ridiculously tight row spacing and non-reclining seatbacks. Had to attempt to cram in sideways - resulting in serious pain by the time the flight finally landed. Intercom system, especially from the captain, was painfully grating and loud. Boarding was extremely slow, in part because gate personnel made no effort whatsoever to police and enforce the four-group boarding process (premium - no carry-on - group A - group B). People boarded whenever they felt like it, many carrying on huge backpacks and multiple other pieces. Will definitely avoid TAP in future."

Ventajas: "Everything went according to the timetable, boarding was on-time and we even arrived a bit earlier than scheduled, so I can't really fault the service of the pilots, the cabin crew or the ground operations team. Food wasn't exactly stellar, but clearly a lot better than on most European flights operated by larger companies (Lufthansa, KLM, Air France etc.). The aircraft itself was clean and looked fairly new and well maintained"
Desventajas: "The seating was absolutely HORRENDOUS. Even though I'm nearly 6'3" (close to 1.90m), I generally never complain about seating space or legroom, even on low cost flights. This particular TAP aircraft, however, despite looking quite new, had some of the most cramped seating ever. Additionally, the trays were minuscule (you could barely place the entire food tray the service during the flight, let alone have another drink at the same time on the tray). Also, on the inbound flight (this was the return one), the seats were fitted with a very simple and clever tablet-holding mechanism, so you could easily watch something on your table while eating your food (from a similarly small tray table). The seat back pockets do not have any material/fabric on the sides, so stored items could easily slip out sideways from the pocket. Shame to have such a good in flight service and to be a punctual airline if you're going to carry your passengers cramped like cattle in seats 'rivalling' the ones on Ryanair flights on 4-hour long journeys."

The food arrive way too early. I believe the airline has put less of an effort on these planes due to the nature of the passengers... I have been traveling for 20 years and I never felt so disappointed by an airline... I will not use this airline ever again"

Desventajas: "Tap changed the times on my original flight from Portugal to Rome then changed the times from my first flight from Boston to Portugal making it impossible to connect from Portugal to Rome.both flights were tap airlines. We were charged 462.00 extra to take the next flight out 3hours later. We were charged twice for the same flight from Portugal to Rome. It was not our fault that we could not connect in Portugal, every other airlines would make resonable accommodations with out any extra charge. We both feel cheated by tap airlines and it made our vacation very stressful trying to resolve the double charge. It has not been resolved as of yet and we our very disappointed on how we were treated. can’t get anything other than the blame being passed around."

Neither entertainment nor a safety briefing were provided before taking off. Attendant alerted us to a 'problem with the flight' but was incomprehensible over the speaker, as with any subsequent announcements."

The entertainment screen freezes and unresponsive. They need replacing. And the delay was the icing on the cake. Royal Air Maroc is the worst airline company one can ever fly with. Even budget companies such as Easy Jet and Ryan Air provide better service. Not recommended at all people."

Ventajas: "The computer check in service is very good and very quick and check-in my bag in then went through security check was very quick so I went through to the duty free shops enjoyed looking at all the different things which can be printed on your boarding pass what you've bought then you wait to board the flight we boarded the plane and found my seat easy the flight took off and the service was very good I was able to eat most of the food I watched my dvds after then we landed going through security was quick then I collected my luggage and then I exited the airport."
Desventajas: "The only thing I didn't like to much was the starter it was very spicy as I've ibs if you could do Salmon flake all the time I would be able to eat this but not spicy food."
Ventajas: "The flight out of JFK to Casablanca was on time and checking in was extremely fast. We flew out and arrived early. The plane itself was very clean and organized, and was mostly empty, giving me enough space to have two seats for myself."

Desventajas: "I paid for an air plane, not a shuttle bus! I waited in the check in line for 2 hours and then they said they would arrange a bus from Marrakesh to Casablanca. So instead of 40 minutes flight, we spent 3 hours in a hot hot bus from Marrakech to Casablanca. And the bus was not even a comfortable regular bus. It was for 15 people shuttle ban. What is more surprising is that because they did not check-in us from Marrakech, and the staffs who put us on the bus did not communicate Royal Air Maroc in Casablanca, they cancelled our family flight reservations to the U.S.A. after we paid the full price! Oh...I forgot to mention that we could not have water or lunch all day long with young kids."
Desventajas: "This airline needs to reexamine its practices toward pregnant passengers. In addition to a high level of confusion and duplication around the release of liability forms I had to sign, there were also some unfortunate attempts by a (male) flight attendant to place a blanket between my pelvis and the seatbelt. No doubt these attempts were well intentioned, but it made me very uncomfortable. In the future, asking passengers if they would like a blanket for this purpose would be a much better practice."

Desventajas: "The flight was delayed by 6 hours with no explanation. There is zero organization or efficiency. Never taking this airline again."

Desventajas: "Royal Air Maroc canceled both their outward and inbound flights on two separate occasions resulting in 2 X 30 minutes calls to my airline for them to fix it. For the returning flight it meant putting me on another airline resulting in a long stopover without any additional compensation."
Desventajas: "For some important family reasons we had to cancel our flight. Cause we canceled it in advance, we expected some voucher for next time. We did not get anything even everybody knows that you sold our seats to someone else...."

Desventajas: "The airline cancelled one leg of our flight and then we had to apply for the money back for remaining legs, as they refused to be flexible on the rest of the trip. Instead of offering any help, it was down to us to call their call centre and ask for them to do something about it. At first they didn’t even understand their own cancellation and in the end they refused to do anything. We had to get lastminute.com to sort it for us, and in the end we got our money back. Only after chasing for a second time though! Definitely would not recommend this airline."

This caused me a lot of stress as when I called lastminute.com to find out what was going on as TAP didn’t have a flight leaving to my destination it was only after several minutes of conveying there was no Tap flight that the customer service rep said oh you are to check in with Azores Air."

Desventajas: "Boarding was a bit chaotic. They called us all, and then we had to wait about 15 minutes, with everyone standing. They don't call by row number, so it's a free for all. Food was so-so. Dinner was fish, which was dry and had no sauce. The cake was also dry, unlike the delicious brownie we had on the flight to the Azores. (But that flight was delayed 6 hours!) I don't want to watch entertainment on my tiny phone. I wish they had seatback screens as other Trans-Atlantic flights do."

Desventajas: "I went to kayak.com to book a flight,kayak booked it threw flyus who booked thru sata aero..This was such a pain to deal with.My sata flight was delayed so much i Missed my connecting flight.Sata was closed so i had to get hotel room on my own accord.If I book thru kayak,kayak should be my contact,not the 3rd party.I wasted so much time and stresse. So much dealing with tracking down my info.For future travel I will consider other websites due to the complexity of your booking methods :/"

Ventajas: "The airline crew/staff was FAR MORE SUPPORTIVE than I have experienced in more than a dozen top ranked airlines. In particular, there was a crew member named GONCALO RODRIGUES, who seemed to have led every other member to perform at their best, by his model of service toward the passengers (customers). Such a staff can/must be utilized for training purposes and be rewarded in order to follow the concept of continuous improvement and stay abreast with leading airlines..."
Desventajas: "There are a few points that need to bee taken into serious consideration - for instance - like as below: 1. More choice of meals on board... There was ONLY PORK containing meal served during the flight and nothing else was available, which came as one big surprise. 2. My Baggage did not get boarded... and had to waste a great deal of time... The misplaced baggage staff member at the Toronto airport need more training toward customers' satisfaction. 3. More choice for on-board entertainment"

Instead of boarding by rows, they let everyone go through all at once which caused the aisle in plane to be blocked. No organization as far as boarding."

Desventajas: "5 hrs delay and missed all connecting flights. Airline initially rescheduled flight 2 days later. Called Kayak and got no support. Kayak agent told us to keep pushing the airline. After 2 hrs of "working" with the airline, we were able to fly into Madrid the following day. Had to spend extra money for hotel room and car rental in Madrid because our final destination was Sevilla. Will never work with Azores or Kayak again. BTW, did we mention that while "working" with Azores to reschedule flight, we were booked to fly into an island off of Africa. Luckily, we followed up online with the changed itinerary."

The flight attendants looked miserable, but were trying their best given the circumstances. The airplane was outdated, the seats not comfortable, and no in flight entertainment. SATA/Air Azores has a monopoly on the flights in and out of the Azores to the USA and no other airlines are allowed to flight that route. They should be ashamed of themselves by the way they run this airline and treat the passengers."

Desventajas: "Boarding was slow and had people check in at the gate just to wait at the bottom of the stairs for 10-15 minutes in a hot stuffy area because there was no cobus available to transfer people to the aircraft! For the second time flying with Azores Airlines, the in-flight entertainment system did not work in all seats, only in some; of course not ours. Very disappointing and boring for long overseas flights!"
Desventajas: "Airline was 2 hours late and missed our connection which made us miss our first port for our cruise we then had to make other arrangements while the airline did nothing to help. I would NEVER FLY with them again."
Ventajas: "Crew was nice enough"
Desventajas: "Flight was delayed over 3 hours causing me to miss my connecting flight upon arrival in Lisbon. No in flight entertainment, only one meal served, no spot to plug in electronics, and the bathroom door was broken and didn't lock. I would suggest paying a little more for a better and more reliable airline."
Ventajas: "Professionalism presented in a relaxed way!"
Desventajas: "I was scheduled to fly and was delayed for 3 days in Boston. I am still waiting to hear back to be reimbursed for the taxis/ubers that I had to take to the hotels that were provided. The hotels were 40 minutes (1st night) and 1 hour (2nd night) away. There was no one available to talk at the airport and the line was ridiculously long. I had planned a trip for 2.5 weeks exploring Portugal and Spain and missed the Portugal portion completely because I was delayed in Boston. I finally gave up waiting and bought a ticket through a different airline so I could meet my friends and not miss any more of my trip."
Ventajas: "the crew were nice and the food was free"
Desventajas: "Because we didn't get the required boarding passes in Barcelona (and didn't know we needed them) when we got to the Azores we had to run around through additional passport control, to the ticket desk because the gate agent had no means of issuing a boarding pass, back through security, through more passport control. Stupid. The plane itself was really uncomfortable, and being stuck in the tiny seats surrounded by screaming children, with no wifi or in-flight entertainment was torture."
Desventajas: "Service. Food. And the return was worse - they cancelled two consecutive flights with no notice, causing us to stay three extra days, incur connection fees, other costs, and they could care less. Wound up flying to Lisbon on Ryanair. SATA says no refund. Worst airline in the world. We would never go back to Azores, thanks to them."
Desventajas: "We were delayed again"
Ventajas: "The staff were great and the flight was very steady."
Desventajas: "The seats were very cramped, more than any other flight I've been on."
Desventajas: "No entertainment, dirty toilets, limuted refreshments."
Ventajas: "Crew members were O.K."
Desventajas: "- There are no more direct flights into Terceira (coming from the U.S.A.) which is ridiculous!!! - Both flights were delayed. The one from Boston to São Miguel was delayed 4 hours. The flight from São Miguel to Terceira was delayed in 30 minutes. - As if the delay wasn't enough, we had to return to gate as the plane prepared for takeoff because of technical problems. SATA (Azorean Airlines) international planes are too old..."
Ventajas: "Not much"
Desventajas: "Never had such an uncomfortable flight! The temperature at my seat was far too hot- I and others were sweating constantly. Also I am 6' 3" but wouldn't recommend anyone over 6' fly this airline, at least not in the normal economy seats- I've never had the experience of being unable to move my legs due to the seat in front."
Ventajas: "Nothing"
Desventajas: "Flight got cancelled and passengers were left hanging at the airport overnight sleeping on a cot. And refunds are a big hassle after the cancellation. Worse experience ever."
Ventajas: "I liked the food and champagne :)"
Desventajas: "Didn't appreciate the fact that my flight was canceled and changed for a day later"
Desventajas: "They cancelled the flight a couple hours before ltake off, then changed the flight number and took off with all the people they bumped from the day before. What a scam, told us it was "operational issues'""
Ventajas: "I got there alive"
Desventajas: "Trying to be impartial on this review as it was my return trip that was a nightmare. I honestly just slept through the entire flight. It seems pretty obvious that SATA Has a monopoly on US flights to the Azores and they are making no effort to improve service."
Desventajas: "DELAYS, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO ACCOUNTABILITY."
Ventajas: "Nothing"

Desventajas: "Delayed 4 times without explanation. No option to select vegetarian meal at time of ticket purchase or check in. Boarding is a free for all. No order, just a mass of people funneling in to get through the gate. Then had to get on a shuttle bus to the plane... which took us to the wrong plane. Boarding the plane is also a free for all. The disorganization must have at least doubled the required boarding time."
Ventajas: "Had two seats to myself. Hot breakfast."
Desventajas: "The airport in Lisbon was terrible. Got bussed 20 minutes to get to terminal and had to wait 2 hours in line to get through passport line. Could not find my bag, finally found it in a heap to the side. My friend traveling Air Canada had no trouble same day same time."
Ventajas: "Food was good. Full dinner and breakfast"
Desventajas: "Made us get off the plane in Azores but would not let us in to shops and cafe. Meal not served till 11pm. Seats very narrow."
Desventajas: "Was too tired and worn out to really care after the long delay. Won't fly this airline again."
Ventajas: "The flight left on time, flight attendants were friendly, some options on the TV (better than none)"
Desventajas: "Not much offered on the TV entertainment systems. The food was pretty bad. Otherwise the flight was fine."
Ventajas: "1 booked flight and selected seats months ahead. On date of departure reseated in middle section though previously booked window seats. 2 after arriving in Portugal informed return flight was cancelled due to crew strike. Told we can wait in Portugal or rebook on new airline. You can't make this stuff up."
Ventajas: "Our flight left on time and arrived 45 minutes early. The crew was good and the meal served was okay. I think BOS (and Providence in the summer) are the only non-stop flights to the Azores, so that is convenience. Flight cost was fine."
Desventajas: "Seats are crammed in to the max. Fine if you have extraordinarily short legs. No entertainment. Main cabin screen was off the entire flight."
Ventajas: "Crew was attentive and it was a direct flight"
Desventajas: "There was very little room in the seats. It was terribly uncomfortable and made worse when the seat in front was declined"
Ventajas: "well im not an expert but , my flight was 2.5 h late , i understand thinks happen , but i believe is solution on that . On my job if im late my costumers dont coming back ( it is just how to control the time ) If we not can control the hours on the flights how we can control airplanes in the air ????!!!!!!!!!! Ventajas: "We got home alive. It was the first on time flight we had during of 4 flights with Azores air."
Desventajas: "Seats literally had duct tape on them. Food was atrocious. They only entertainment was the old two prone headphones and 8 looping crackly audio stations. On a calm day landing in in boston we set down one side of the rear landing gear, then the other, and squiggled down the runway. As the pilot didn't touch down early enough on the runway he had to really jam on the brakes. It was greeted with a round of applause because landing alive with azores air seems to be worthy of applause by the regulars... Least legroom of any airline. Bathroom was disgusting after 2 hr. Toilet paper was seemingly wadded up and stuck back into the dispenser. Nobody ever got new paper. Ran out of paper towels as well..."
Ventajas: "Large comfy seats."
Desventajas: "Among the drawbacks, long immigration lines in LIS, despite the opportunity to go thru immigration in the Azores - lost opportunity for the airline to market its efficiency and convenience."
Ventajas: "The crew was friendly and worked hard as a team. Especially the more mature male FA. Was able to get preassigned seats! Counter staff was friendly too. Wine served was good and free."
Desventajas: "Did not mind that there was no movie etc. We didn't even accept the earphones. The food and Azores cookies were not very good. Be forewarned! LIS airport is not very user friendly. Often had to take and wait for buses to transfer from one area to another and up/down stairs ways. Consider checking your bags!"
Ventajas: "Food was pretty good and staff was nice"
Desventajas: "Plane was dirty. Tray tables had food on them. Crumbs in seat crevices. Boarding was an absolute nightmare as we were crammed in a shuttle bus for a half hour and then waited on the tarmac for close to an hour"
