The time between flights was not enough 55 mins as the gate closed 20 mins before departure and it takes at least 15 minutes from arrival to taxi to the terminal and then get off the plane. I had to change from terminal F to E which was well sign posted but I only made it with 4 minutes to spare"
Desventajas: "They have a terrible communication problem, they never communicated why the flight was late, they never communicated what they were doing or what was happening. Bad customer service. Bad communication with the client. They told us when I asked several times that we would not lose our connection and that everything was fine and that was not the case. We lost the connection. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. Without that tickets we can not claim the bags. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing."

Because I had a connecting flight to New York in London, the check in caused many problems...and everything inside soaking wet"

When I was going to return , they made me payed 120 dollars ( in Kiev , Ukraine (UIA) , I was very disappointed and I really will love an explanation about all this !"

Desventajas: "The crew. It seems that the US crew has gotten used to treating customers like animals and giving treats to deplane or calling security is a norm now. They seem to forget that they are working in a service industry. On our flight which was international and long they had quarantined the entire back rows for themselves and one of the bathrooms was also for their use only. In addition they had two choices for the meal they served Chicken and Pasta and they mentioned to customers that they had run out of Chicken. One of the passengers in our group of seven could not eat pasta as she had dietary restrictions after surgery and they told her too bad and she should have ordered a special meal. When she spoke up she was threatened with security. This person is a respected physician in her community and understands the service industry well. The worse part is the crew then proceeded to eat chicken dinners right behind her seat and continued to talk rudely about her. They had not run out of chicken meals just kept them for themselves. It seems American Airlines spends lots of advertising dollars about choosing to fly with them but is forgetting to train their staff about being nice to passengers."

El supervisor Mauricio Velez fue desatento y grosero la única solución que nos dieron fue conectar en un vuelo de Delta que supuestamente salía 8:10 am y con sorpresa al llegar a Miami nos dimos cuenta que era 8:10 pm. There were no tv screens on the back of the seats, which was not very pleasant for a 9 hour flight. We tried connecting to the plane's wifi and watching movies on our phones through the Air Canada app, but the wifi was so slow that the movies never even loaded. Additionally, not every row of seats on the sides has a window, and we were in a row that had a wall instead. The plug in our row did not work either so we couldn't charge our phones with it."

This is a strong statement in non discrimination on Account of age in employment. To see a red Indian lady among them was very refreshing."

Ventajas: "While I've ranked the crew as poor, that isn't a reflection of the entire crew. The flight crew and check-in team were fine, the boarding I have as mediocre due to delay, but I don't put that on the staff."
Desventajas: "My issues are two part: 1 - I wasn't informed that I was required to retrieve my luggage from the carousel on this flight from George Town to Toronto. I thought perhaps I missed something, however, the three other couples that were in the same predicament I was weren't aware either. This caused a massive headache, the instructions were superbly poor on how to retrieve the luggage, and the process was completely a waste of time. We had to talk with three different people, the person that took us back to the carousel showed no urgency despite us all explaining that we were on a short layover, and might miss our next flight, and even though we had our passes to get through customs, we were made to wait in line to have our baggage inspected. A completely broken process that could've been avoided with a friendly reminder at check-in. 2 - Once I was able to retrieve my luggage I picked it up off the carousel only to find the handle on one piece of luggage had been ripped off, and the plastic lining on the other bag was destroyed. Admittedly I find this to be no surprise after seeing how mine and everyone else's luggage was handled so poorly upon being loaded into the cargo. I saw my luggage being tossed 3-5 feet into the cargo area - literally picked up, and with complete disregard flung like it was a trash bag being thrown into the dumpster. Since I didn't have time to discuss this with any staff due to my prior issue and being unable to find a representative once I landed back in Vancouver, I called the next day to discuss this over the phone, but the representative explained that I was only able to make a complaint in-person at the time of baggage retrieval. The person was absolutely useless and unwilling to help. This was by far the worst treatment I've had at any time in my life while flying any airline. The trip to George Town was with American Airlines, and even though it was longer, and a tad bit more expensive, the service I had with them was stellar by comparison to my experience with AirCanada. Going forward I will only be using AC when there are absolutely no other options."
Desventajas: "The airline crew keep on pushing back the departure due to bad weather. No discipline while boarding passengers. Delay after landing to open the door. No clear instructions about the delays"
Ventajas: "I am 6ft 1 / 185cm and the leg room was OK for an economy flight. Food was OK for airplane food. Staff were very friendly. Overall very happy."

Desventajas: "Late flight the crew did.t care and many people missed connections. The customer service at the airport desk was understaffed slow and rude. They we're not helpful in trying to get new flights booked and I felt like it was asking a huge favor even though it was Thier delayed flight that made me miss my connection."
Ventajas: "Organised zones for boarding"
Desventajas: "i am à French National ( France) living in UK. After a confusing conversation from the officer not understanding that I was not travelling to France ( assumption) I was asked to show evidence I had the right to enter UK !!!! I explained I lived there permanently ; I was then asked why French hate English so much!!! To which I explained only narrow minded people would believe so and that the style of her comment were not appropriate . I explained my children were half French half British and that her comment was offensive ."
Desventajas: "few movies"
Ventajas: "I was reading so much about how cramped and uncomfortable the seats on Air Canadas 787's, but I don't think their product is any worse than most other economy class products out there."
Desventajas: "Their "continental breakfast" was a dry piece of banana bread and yoghurt. No jam, butter cheese or other spreads to compliment with your bread. Most disappointing "continental breakfast" I have had on a plane!"
Ventajas: "Excellent value for Economy flight"
Ventajas: "Ease of boarding - no long queues. Offer to put hand luggage in the hold with no charge."
Ventajas: "Comfortable flight, very pleasant cabin crew."

Desventajas: "The food was terrible and the staff were in there own world and not particularly polite. Hand luggage was not managed so the bins were rammed. Some people had 3 pieces of large hand luggage. Food was the worse I have had on any flight. I would rather pay and have something edible. On 2 of my 3 flights the staff were so wrapped up in there own life's, they did not manage to finish the safety checks before taking there seat. Overall a poor experience."
Ventajas: "Friendly crew, modern aircraft"
Desventajas: "Air Canada offers this flight DAILY. Yet somehow the boarding was the most excruciating tedious I’ve had to endure. Passengers who needed assistance boarding seemed to have to deal with haphazard organisation, and the fact that they seemed surprised so many people brought carry-on luggage that the bins filled up is laughable. Changed my return flight to Alaska Air."
Desventajas: "The prop aircraft that Air Canada uses for the YYC-YEG route are old and cramped. They do nothing for the Air Canada brand."
Ventajas: "Clearing immigration in Vancouver is very convenient"
Desventajas: "Food choices are limited and expensive."

Ventajas: "Overall a good experience. Had to pay for food but it was quite good so I didn't mind. Supposedly the crew were short staffed but I found them attentive and helpful and to be honest I believe the people who complained may have been a little precious."
Desventajas: "Delayed for more than two hours on both the trips to and from Canada. This is a common thing with Air Canada i heard. Flights always get delayed."
Ventajas: "That even though there is a delay, we still made it around the same time"

Desventajas: "Food was terrible especially for Prem economy. Chicken dish very bad. Difficult to get a second glass of wine with main meal."

Desventajas: "Delayed 25 minutes, and threatened to fly without 15 passengers due to strong headwinds and need to reduce weight. Never heard that one before."
Ventajas: "Food ok crew and staff very helpful"
Ventajas: "It was a very good flight. A pillow and blanket were provided which was good for comfort and to keep warm because it was very cold on the flight. The hot meals that were included were tasty and the the coffee was good. The bottles of water were a nice touch."
Desventajas: "Better temperature control"
Ventajas: "Food was good and flight attendants were very professional. Our first time flying Air Canada and I was very impressed!"
Desventajas: "To pay so much for a transatlantic flight and have to pay $10 for an IPad on the 8 hour trip home??? It would be nice if even limited internet was included so we could use our own device. The worse experience was getting through customs at the airport in Barcelona on the way home. Only two agents available to stamp passports on a Sunday morning when the world's largest cruise ship (Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas) had docked earlier that morning? We arrived at the airport at 8:30 and no Air Canada agents were available to check us in until 9:00. After waiting to get through customs and we proceeded to our gate, our 11:45 flight was just beginning to load! Lots of shoving and people cutting line to avoid being late for their flight. I heard one person mention they had missed their flight, and I'm certain many others did as well. With the chaos and delay, I'm surprised altercations didn't happen. The airports/airlines need to work with the local authorities to avoid these delays and provide their customers better service."
Ventajas: "Cabin was clean and got the seats I wanted."
Desventajas: "Cabin was understaffed. The entertainment system required their app which you have to download before you get on plane."
Desventajas: "We were quite disappointed when we were told there would be a delay due to mechanical issues after already boarding and being on the plane for over two hours. Imagine our distress at being trapped in a narrow seat inside the confines of a plane still sitting on the tarmac and going nowhere with very limited climate control and circulation that added even more discomfort. This level of stress was compounded by the manner in which our minimal nutritional and hydration needs were not only met but as fare paying passengers, we were teased by a meager slice of packaged and processed sliced banana bread and a mere two cups of water. This fact is especially important because it more severely impacted my father who is diabetic and it was not sufficient for him, especially at 11:44 p.m. Also because there was no communication relayed to passengers that the problem would not be resolved the second time we boarded, Air Canada agents should have recommended or handed out dinner vouchers while we were waiting in the airport after they evacuated us the first time (since everything was closed the second time we were evacuated). We were stuck on the plane for a total of 4 hours two separate times they boarded us and in between that we waited back in the airport for 2 hours; therefore a total of over 6 hours of time past the original boarding time which lead us into 1:30am of not going anywhere. Flight was rescheduled for 23 hours later! We understand the challenges of operating an airline and trying to meet schedules and the needs of the customers. Furthermore, we appreciate diligence when it applies to the safety of flying. However, the myriad problems, distress, physical and discomfort not to mention the over 23 hellish hours, was exacerbated by the following: the lack of communicaton and bad information; the paucity of empathy reflected by all Air Canada employees toward our aggregation; the measures taken to mitigate the damage inflicted to what was to be our “dream vacation” and finally the scarcity of adequate accommodation and compensation for all that we endured. We too lost one night at the Barcelona Universal Hotel worth $207, not to mention a lost vacation day worth over $600 in salary for 8 hours for us. Air Canada should be held to higher standards and more responsible for keeping up to date on their aircraft maintenance checks and regulations. There was also no specific hotel address on the voucher issued which caused us to drive to two different sheraton 4 points locations until we finally reached our destination which there was no vacancy. Luckily after lingering around in the lobby and me having to call multiple hotels to verify vacancy, one room became available and we ended up inviting another family to stay in our room that night (other Air Canada victims). We didn’t get to bed until 5am that following morning after all of that ruckus!!"
Ventajas: "I rented the iPad for movies and enjoyed that option much more than trying to make the in-seat touchscreen TV work on a previous flight on Air Canada."
Ventajas: "The boarding process onto the plane in Barcelona was excellent. I also find the Air Canada crews to be very professional and the food was good."
Desventajas: "The seats are very tight and the overhead bins are only large enough to hold one roll-on bag. Also you have to download an app in order to have any entertainment."
