Good and organized airline
Couldn’t even board the flight. Was given 0 notification that I would require a transit visa through Russia.
Plane arrived on time with my luggage.
Plane was older. No entertainment but did not care. Seats not ergonomically comfortable. My knees almost touched the seat in front of me. I’m 5’6”. Even worse when seat is reclined. Forget about trying to exit to the aisle when this happens.
Food The flight took less time than promised.
Boarding was a bit delayed, but otherwise it was ok. I wish there was more legroom, it was not that bad though.

Touch screen not working, no entertainment on entire flight
It’s tough to make a 15 hour flight in coach very pleasant, but with the seats and entertainment system in the 777, it was really fine. I recently took a 6 hour flight on Wow airlines in a A320 and the seats were terrible and no entertainment. The Cathay flight, though it was more than twice as long on the air, was much more pleasant.
I wasn’t crazy about the meals on the flight. A choice of chicken or pork was pretty limiting, at least for me. The plane did have a snack area which was open throughout the flight, which was good.
Seat uncomfortable even though there was plenty of leg room
We were able to upgrade to a business class seat (row 1) just 2 days before the flight since we had put in a bid a month before to do so if it was accepted. Honestly, the seat DID NOT EVEN RECLINE, NOR DID IT FEEL VERY SPACIOUS! I felt very taken advantage of to only have access to that part of the plane giving us more leg room for $200 upgrade for each seat. When does a Business Class seat NOT recline??? At least my flight attendant was kind enough suggesting that I let the airline know about my unhappy experience.
The crew & service on our Denver to Munich flight were incredible. Courteous, professional & fun. A crew like this makes flying a pleasure.
The seats in economy on the A-350 were a horror show. Couldn't have made them more uncomfortable if they tried. It seems with each new model Airbus puts out the seats regress to more medieval technology.

The flights got delayed. One of the flights got delayed without a notice in advance.
I liked playing tetris and pacman with a controller that was like that of a console. My flight had a lot of empty seats, and I noticed they staggered the seating so that there was nobody in front of me or behind me. Flight crew was genuinely nice and helpful even though we didn't speak the same language. The little cup holder was actually pretty cool. There even seemed to be ample leg room compared to other Chinese international flights I've been on. I've flown previously with china southern and China eastern, so that is my basis for comparison.
They didn't give me boarding passes for both flights (had a long layover in china). Other airlines printed both at the start of trip. This added quite a bit of confusion for me, seemingly unnecessarily. Also, I'm a bit disappointed in their free hotel room deal for long layovers. When I had a long layover previously with either china southern or china easter (can't remember which one), I got my own free hotel room, a free meal, and a free ride to and from the hotel. That was a real perk for my 12 hour layover. The deal with xiaman is you get a free hotel room, but you have to share it with a stranger of the same gender, and you have to pay for taxi to and from the hotel. Although you do supposedly get a free meal, I chose not to take them up on the hotel offer. Instead I took them up on their transfers lounge. This is a dark, quiet room full of dingy, dirty padded chairs and people sprawled out and snoring. I would have stayed more than 15 minutes if there were more phone charging plugs, but instead I went and ate mcdonalds and found a plug in at the kfc. Aside from all that, I would suggest getting some better Hollywood movies to choose from, as xiamen's competition has them beat there as well, in my opinion.
Xiamen reps at KUL didn’t let me board because they said my middle name on boarding pass didn’t match with the name on Chinese transit visa. I got this Chinese transit visa just to transfer because of the airport layout and that part was also didn’t make sense. They didn’t accept my middle “Y” on the boarding pass and it was so much of hassle to argue and finally let me through. Will never fly again on Xiamen.
The seats seemed to have more space on this plane which was nice.
It felt strange that the crew members completely skipped over me when serving lunch and drinks. At least something as basic as water should be given to all passengers.

Easy flight; loved the crew and their friendly customer service. Great food, kept everyone hydrated and fed.
The movie options, as well as music and TV options were limited. There were no electrical outlets.
Felt like a disorganized mess! I don’t understand how this is still in business. Water was for sale on the flight, not for free. Water!! It’s a basic amenity. Exit row was exactly the same leg space as the rest of the aircraft. So why did I pay extra?
Delays! Delays! Delays!!
2 1/2 delay with no information to travelers. We were told Gate A then at the last minute (after a couple of hours) it was switched to Gate C. We had to take a transport to new gate and were afraid we would miss flight as the original flight time was still posted. There was no updated flight info anywhere. Very stressful after what was already a long wait.

Esta Aerolínea es pésima en sus servicios en general.. Por culpa de ellos he perdido el Avión del Jueves 11 por la razón que me informaron que mi vuelo era con América Airlines pero al dirigirme a América éstos me expresaron que no era con ellos sino con British. Nuevamente fui con British y se igual forma no sabían de mi reservación..tanto América Airlines como British aún que haya llegado tres horas antes de la salida. No me solucionaba ni una ni otra al punto que llegó el momento que se fue mi vuelo. Pero Dios es grande y una señora de British se compareció de mí y me ayudó.Salí a Roma el viernes 12. Al regreso la misma história sólo que en otro país otro idioma..La.gente de British me dijo que aparecía Cancelado mi vuelo cuando ninca lo cancele.. Al contrario estuve pendiente de hacer el chekpoin en linea pero nunca pude entrar a su página aparecia cómo "error". A mi salida fue un calvario me hicieron dormir en Roma para salir al siguiente día pero por América Airlines..Estuve a punto de no llegar a tiempo a la cobertura periodística en el Vaticano. Son un chiste esta Aerolínea no la recomiendo ya que ni tienen un Counter para soluciones al clientes en Roma.
Todo el desorden, mala organización la forma de cómo me trataron parecía que era un Indigente ante ellos.. Como fui varias veces a tratar de que me ayudaran una de las Counter le dijo a su companera que no me atendiera que yo tenia que pagar un boleto y ya. Pero gracias a Dios una de ellas me ayudo pero igual el vuelo ya no lo podía tomar pero también dijo que parecía una persona de beneficiencia cuándo mi boleto ya estaba pagado de ida y vuelta yo no fui a pedir limosnas sino mis derecho como Cliente.
Seats are comfortable, head rest is adjustable, good leg room, nice entertainment selection and no extra charge for adult beverages!
When we arrived at London Heathrow, there was no gait, no stairs, and no buses to transport passengers to the terminal. We were stuck on the plane for an hour waiting. The crew was helpful in keeping everyone informed and let us know they called the airport staff multiple times for the stairs/buses to get us off and those with connections (me) going. The crew was frustrated too.

The seats were minuscule...the depth was narrower than when Id previously used different airlines. The space between rows was also compromised. I think that the Dreamliner is even more streamlined with less space so they can put more passengers on! The toilet kept flushing when seated on it! The food was repetitive - ordered Asian Veg and got almost the same food for 3 meals. The dessert was exactly the same 1 piece of melon and 2 cubes pineapple. The male crew member did not want to be there. He grunted at the passengers. He was annoyed and when clearing food trays dropped it and aI wore custard all over me and the armrest of my seat. Fortunately I had a blanket covering me so it all landed on that. He was more upset that it also splattered him.
Short Leg, Crew Happy, pilot very informative, food was good, until the next flight (long haul) I got the same food. 2 seats together at the very back row. Checkin and boarding were fine
The toilet flushed when I was still on the toilet seat. Happened again on the long haul sector. The take a very long time to switch on the entertainment and turn it off as soon as decent commences- so if you have air traffic problems - it could be off for an hr before and after takeoff and landing. unnecessary as most people have their own headsets as well. İn Moscow 350 passanger got out from plane and there is only 1 X-ray machine and 1 security worker. İt took 1,30 hour to pass the control point. İt was disaster.

The food was not heat correctly it was cold and I felt that the crew rush to give out the food. The seats are terrible, if the person in front of you reclines you won’t be able to see the screen if your watching a movie and you will see the top of the persons head.

not enough movie choices. Flight delayed 30 minutes, had to deplane on tarmac & ride shuttle bus to terminal, waited 30 minutes for luggage causing passengers from another flight arriving later to get taxis first so had to wait another 30 minutes for available taxis.

This is a good airline. Connections short but all the luggage made the connections. They are a bit limited with English but it did not present difficulties. Much better than American-based carriers. Very respectful crew. One of two carriers based in Korea. Comparable to Korean Air but less expensive in our ticketing.
Entertainment is limited compared to some airlines but passable.
The crew was great. The technology is great. I enjoyed the movies.

Anytime I looked to get help from there non-fight staff (customer service, reservation personnel,etc.) I found them rude, short and unhelpful.
The flight attendants are attentive and know how to anticipate your needs. I used to travel from New York to Korea then the Philippines, and I choose to fly Korean Air. In my opinion, their service crew improved a lot Including their food.
EVERYTHING!!!! The staff at the gates to the boarding staff. Everyone was very helpful and professional. The seats had plenty of room and the staff always provided service with a smile.

My 2 bags didn't come out to Cairo airport Your employee helps me to report that. He didn't give me the $200 to buy some clothes. Because he told me that my 2 bags coming out in a vew hours. And they give my cell phone # 01114488833 and I give them my wife's cell phone # 01225993535. They never call me they never answer me. 8 days. So I went yesterday 10-11-18 to the Cairo airport I met one of your employees. Asking for my 2 bags they told me that they called my my wife but they didn't. I asked my wife she said they never call me. And she talks to them on phone. They said sorry some mistakes happen they should give me $200 for every single day my bags lait but they didn't ButI received my bags broken an I lost my wife shoes and my candy The chocolate rolled over my clothes And the workers open one of my bags and eat some candy and leave the trash inside the bag

Wow, I am not a heavy woman, I wear a size large but I am not in the least obese, just tall and not skinny. The seat width was ridiculously tight! I have NEVER experienced such discomfort in a Emergency Row seat!
I was on exit place so there were a lot of room space. Flight was only 1 hour.
1.5 hour flight, on time and all that one should expect from a good airline.
