The crew and food were very nice. Unfortunately, getting from Point A to Point B was a struggle.
They didn't leave enough time for connecting flights (we touched down at the same time my connecting flight was boarding), and screwed over a lot of passengers by last-minute not sending their luggage to the connecting flight. I lost my luggage and still haven't found it.
If one has not checked in in advance on internet, one is to pay 5 euro pro person at the check-in desk. This information should be communicated to the passangers in advance!
Took my carry on onto the plane, it barely didn't fit in the overhead, I was told it would go under the plane. The bag was never put on the plane, and therefore I had to ski the next day in my jeans and utilize only what I had on my person in a new place I'd never been. Of all the times to lose a bag, you'd hope it wouldn't be on a 3 day trip deep in the mountains of Austria when you're by yourself. How could you take a small bag from inside the plane and then not put it underneath the plane minutes before take off? Horrendous.
They delay the flight and boarding was very disorganized
The cabin crew was friendly and helpful. The seats on the plane are nice and wide, plenty of leg room.
We left from the far end of the terminal, and there was no gate. The one shop for buying a beverage and magazine there was closed. The supposedly more comfortable seats are not that great for a short person. The food and drink on board was fine but nothing special.
The direct flight from PHX to FRA
pretty much everything about this experience. To start, the agents and online chat customer service were extremely rude and unhelpful, even after calling several times and waiting up to an hour on hold. At one point i expressed my frustration and answer i got was "I'm sorry you feel that way". No sympathy what so ever. On the flight -the seats were horrible and food was disgusting.
Was nonstop to Austin
Flight was 1.5 hrs delayed, then another hour due to weather but no announcement was ever made. They put me on standby even though I had booked 3 weeks earlier but didn’t have a seat reservation. Flight was overbooked. Bad management.
The flight crew made the best of an inconvenient situation and seemed genuinely apologetic for what they clearly knew were exploitative policies.
Our flight was delayed due to a mechanical issue, but instead of updating the schedule to reflect this, the airline had us standing indefinitely in the queue to board; this was probably about 45 minutes in which we could have sat down or grabbed some food, or literally done ANYTHING other than waiting as we did. Because of this delay, we were offered hard candies. In all honesty, I would have preferred to be offered water, which at €2.50 on an international, several hours long flight is borderline criminal. I have been skeptical about low-cost, "budget" airlines in the past, and this experience confirmed that if the price of the flight seems too good to be true, it probably is. The difference in cost was more than paid for by the hidden fees, the quality of service, and the denial of basic human dignities like not having your knees crushed against the seat in front of you, or God forbid--a cup of tap water.
Boarding was confusing and had a lot of people including ourselves wondering what was happening- then to be hurried and rushed into the flight. Didn’t make sense at all as the flight was down as a different destination on the screen and when I asked asked staff they said to wait and that this wasn’t our plane.
Direct flight LAS-CGN is good to have
- Food quality is poor - Food quantity is severely lacking (1 warm meal at start of 11hr flight and 1 cold 'snack' (small cheese sandwich or small piece of chocolate cake) at the end of the flight. - Drinks are basically limited to 2x 1 tiny cup of soda/juice/coffee/tea with the meals and a few mini bottles of water. - Paid additional beverages/snacks/food. - in-seat entertainment requires an additional EUR 9.90. So bring your own entertainment if you agree this is overkill for Europe-US flights.
Crew was nice and efficient. Flight departed and arrived on time. Flight comfort was normal for econo airline service.
Check-in at Frankfurt airport was horrible. Contract "Acciona" ground staff at Frankfurt airport was slow, inefficient, not knowledgeable, and overly officious. The airline does not offer on-line, advance check-in from Frankfurt, which is very 1990, not 2016. Even when passengers pay for advance seat assignments, as we did, it is impossible to change seats after booking the original ticket.
Not one thing.
Delayed. Smelly. Overall love flying but the takeoff and landing were terrible! Service wasn’t great either- crew had major attitude problems.
