I liked playing tetris and pacman with a controller that was like that of a console. My flight had a lot of empty seats, and I noticed they staggered the seating so that there was nobody in front of me or behind me. Flight crew was genuinely nice and helpful even though we didn't speak the same language. The little cup holder was actually pretty cool. There even seemed to be ample leg room compared to other Chinese international flights I've been on. I've flown previously with china southern and China eastern, so that is my basis for comparison.
They didn't give me boarding passes for both flights (had a long layover in china). Other airlines printed both at the start of trip. This added quite a bit of confusion for me, seemingly unnecessarily. Also, I'm a bit disappointed in their free hotel room deal for long layovers. When I had a long layover previously with either china southern or china easter (can't remember which one), I got my own free hotel room, a free meal, and a free ride to and from the hotel. That was a real perk for my 12 hour layover. The deal with xiaman is you get a free hotel room, but you have to share it with a stranger of the same gender, and you have to pay for taxi to and from the hotel. Although you do supposedly get a free meal, I chose not to take them up on the hotel offer. Instead I took them up on their transfers lounge. This is a dark, quiet room full of dingy, dirty padded chairs and people sprawled out and snoring. I would have stayed more than 15 minutes if there were more phone charging plugs, but instead I went and ate mcdonalds and found a plug in at the kfc. Aside from all that, I would suggest getting some better Hollywood movies to choose from, as xiamen's competition has them beat there as well, in my opinion.
Xiamen reps at KUL didn’t let me board because they said my middle name on boarding pass didn’t match with the name on Chinese transit visa. I got this Chinese transit visa just to transfer because of the airport layout and that part was also didn’t make sense. They didn’t accept my middle “Y” on the boarding pass and it was so much of hassle to argue and finally let me through. Will never fly again on Xiamen.
The flights got delayed. One of the flights got delayed without a notice in advance.
The flight left before we get there. I had to book a train ticket to my final destination because I have to be in Fuzhou that day. I was told by the airline that I would be reimbursed the air fare from Xiamen to Fuzhou.

The plane was delayed at the start but that's was ok you need a safe plane but we missed the next flight. You don't flight to Cuba so missed all the next day flight to Cuba but you lost all four bags and not helping to get them back so missed the rebooked flights again, so stall waiting someone to find them.
It is so far a cut above the American carriers. There’s no way to compare them, because Qatar Airways is so far superior. The seats are far more comfortable and larger, the amount of legroom is far superior, you have much more personal space, and the craft is cleaner. Flight Attendants are fantastic! They provide excellent personal care, and are there for everything. They are supremely polite and courteous, and bring things in mediately. Very often anticipating your needs. This is what flying used to be like on United and American. But those people have completely forgotten what service is. Qatar is a 5 star airline. United and American, to my view, are 2 star at best.

It was 1hr and 30 minutes delayed not for technical issues not for weather not for traffic just they said we are waiting an other passenger That is why I missed my New York to Boston flight that guy he didn’t miss his flight but I missed because aeroflot had a stupit customer service

Customer service at the JFK airport service desk was horrible. They need to train their employees to treat their customers with diginity. I was standing there with my father, he doesn’t speak English and they automatically gave us bad looks and they way they spoke was horrible. Please train your customer service to treat clients without any bias based on their enthinicity, color of skin or the language they speak.
Love the hospitable warm stewardesses, the plane, just about everything. Boarding much much better in Moscow than at JFK NY.

We were lucky to get the last row where there are just 2 seats.
Width and depth of seats - very small. I especially noticed the depth - very narrow. As usual bearly room between row in front. The food was very average. I ordered Asian vegetarian and got 3 meals almost identical. For dessert I also got a piece of melon and 2 cubes of pineapple 3 times. The bread roll was stale at best. Unfortunately on the long 13 hr leg we had a male staff member who wasn’t happy in his job and basically grunted at the passengers...He was also clearing the food trays and was very rough with it and I wore a container of somebody else’s custard all over me (luckily I had a blanket wrapped around Mel). He was more annoyed that zig also got the bottom of his trousers and shoes.
Disasterous! The flight departed 3 hours late because of some mechanical problem. So missed connections in Abu Dhabi, although Ethihad could have held a later connection to BKK for just about 20 minutes for us to board. The huge hassle getting lodging from the airline to take an onward flight the next day. Your staff would not accommodate us at the airport hotel so we could avoid the need to obtain a visa, which takes a minimum of 3 hours wait. We finally gave up on the visa and decided to just stay up overnight at the airport. That caused one kind Ethihad staff to finally make issues us an authorization for the hotel at the airport. We would never fly your airline again.

Not much - perhaps that we had booked the last row and only had two seats together
The seats were minuscule...the depth was narrower than when Id previously used different airlines. The space between rows was also compromised. I think that the Dreamliner is even more streamlined with less space so they can put more passengers on! The toilet kept flushing when seated on it! The food was repetitive - ordered Asian Veg and got almost the same food for 3 meals. The dessert was exactly the same 1 piece of melon and 2 cubes pineapple. The male crew member did not want to be there. He grunted at the passengers. He was annoyed and when clearing food trays dropped it and aI wore custard all over me and the armrest of my seat. Fortunately I had a blanket covering me so it all landed on that. He was more upset that it also splattered him.
I bought the Airport tickets for my Russian friend. However customs would not allow her to board the plane unfortunately. That's not Kayaks fault. I would definitely book with Kayak again. Many thanks.

The cabin crew were fantastic. Food was abundant. Most boarding systems worked well. Choosing seats was confusing on website so we were allocated seating. The newer planes had a fantastic touch screen entertainment system. The seats on the newer planes were much more comfortable and roomy
The small seats are squishy on the older planes. The entertainment system on the older planes were dated and difficult to use. I felt sick after the flight to UK but felt fine coming home after one long flight on a newer plane.
Satisfied and feel good on Singapore airlines, definitely will consider next trip
With Singapore Airlines the service is always good I actually paid extra to fly them after three weeks in India

Plane condition: Cosmetic plastic panel below monitor and seat back pocket on Seat 31E fell off when foot rest was lowered; had previously been secured by adhesive tape. Panel removed by crew. In-flight entertainment system: Persistent intermittent loss of sound while listening to movie or TV program. Food: Tried to use "Book the Cook" feature touted by Singapore's website. Was unable to get on site for that purpose. The last try a message appeared (late September) that site was being "rebuilt." On the flight, there was no menu of choices; we were offered 3 vaguely worded choices which boiled down to beef, chicken or vegetables. Those appeared in not particularly appetizing forms and combinations--P.S., we like east and southeast Asian cooking and had just spent 3 weeks in Japan. Failure to provide information about possible delays due to WRG deplaning location at LAX: Although we are frequent fliers to and from LAX, we'd never heard of the WRG. It would have been helpful if the crew had informed us upon arrival that there could possibly be a wait on the plane as buses were used to transport us approximately 1/2 mile to TBIT. Generally: We chose Singapore because of its reputation for excellence. Belying the name of the class, both Turkish AL and Air NZ treated Premium Economy passengers as "junior" business class. Singapore treated us as coach with a roomier cabin and seating pitch.

The usual Air France flights to Rome, that I have been flying for years, are now operated by Joon. For a couple months nothing changed, except the way the crew dressed. But now Joon is showing its true nature as a LOW COST airline.Seats cramped. Snacks and apple juice are now available for purchase only.
The cabin crew was super patient and accommodating of the passengers.

Big plane, multiple boarding points. Food did its job & helped with the long flight. Movies weren't expansive, but good choices to kill the time.
The crew did not have the key to unlock to doors leading to the plane, which forced everyone to wait 30 mins standing in line. It was quite silly! It delayed our flight about 30-45 minutes - not much, but really painful when the flight is almost 12 hours. The crew didn't tell us what was happening either, but it was pretty obvious.

Airplane was in awful state of disrepair. Literally nothing worked. Starting with overhead compartments that got jarred loose to the non-functional entertainment system to the reading lights, which didn't work (and to make matters worse they turned lights off). They didn't even try to hide that they don't care - some of the seats were off color! Clearly recycled from some aircraft junkyard!

2 hour delay before boarding and now adding more because in LA our gate isn’t ready. they sell everything, you only get a 1 glass of soft drink free. in an almost 13 hour flight this is insane, complimemtary water has to be a must. after purchasing watee bottle an cocke, 30 minutes went by and nobody came to give them, said snacks and drinks were just closed but the purchase did go through 30 minutes ago. gave 1 half full pkastic glass flass woth water wand warm falf full pepsi to make it up. no wifi no meal options to buy, just ‘snacks’ horrible ordeal to be in a plane for 13 hours
The plane was amazing. It had all of the great things you'd expect from a new plane (e.g. entertainment, bigger windows, device to control everything, etc.).
You had to pay for water for an 8 hour flight. Complimentary water should be an automatic. It's weird to have the staff go by and not even acknowledge your existence unless you pre-ordered the mediocre meal offered on the flight.
This route needs a bigger plane. Always packed. Only a few rows of business class. Took off nearly an hour late. Economy on BA is very much a budget airline experience.

Priority Boarding for business class. The cabin crew were attentive, cheerful, caring. It's a short regional flight so the older, regional configuration of the seats is appropriate if not a little shabby. Offer of juices, Arabic coffee and dates before take off is very welcoming as is a choice of hot or cold towels. Flight was on time for take-off and landing.
No inflight entertainment or, if there is, there are no headsets.

The food was amazing, the in-flight entertainment was amazing, and the flight attendants were amazingly kind and beautiful. :) Swiss Air has set the standard on airline food, serving Swiss Chocolate and Gruyere cheese on the flight! It was the best!
My only concern was that there were times when I felt a little too warm. The newer Boeing 777 doesn't have passenger controlled A/C.
The crew for the most part were courteous.
1. The economy seats were extremely uncomfortable and tight, unlike other Int’l flights we have been on, ie, Virgin and British Airlines 2.Food was the worst we have ever had on an Int’l Flt. 3. Main meal selection ran out. Staff said there was nothing they could fo. 4. Our suitcase arrived really beat up. It looked like it was dragged along the tarmac. There were several large rips. To make it worse, this was the first trip we have used the suitcase.
Placed in back row. Ran out of food choices twice!!! Requested they start serving from the back after the first shortage. Told that was not the procedure. The Swiss need to apply customer care to all in the same class equally.

This was one of the most empty flights I’ve ever been on. With that, lots of room for carry on baggage. I fail to see why it was necessary at all. It delayed my journey when time was of the essence.
The crew was very nice and very good. They served the evening meal very promptly. They could have made another trash run prior to everyone trying to sleep for the night flight.

I didn’t realize that Chinese transit visa is needed to transfer at Xiamen airport. When I bought the tickets, I wasn’t notified nor advised to get the Chinese visa. The Xiamen rep at Lax didn’t let me board first and I explained and they gave me the visa waiver paperwork. It was so much of hassle. I’ve laid over many Chinese cities via different airlines and never had any problems. Will not fly again on Xiamen!!
