Courtyard by Marriott Ruston

Overall hotel was clean and modern. Staff was friendly however they didn’t handle the situations that arose properly. Location was perfect. Super comfortable beds and bedding! Loved the USA made towels!

1. I booked a king room with sofa. When we got to the room it was 2 queens with a chair. The front desk only refunded me the price difference (total $34 for 3 nights). 2. The next day we were gone all day when we returned to the room, the dirty towels and the soap had been removed from our room. A stack a clean towels were left sitting on the sink. Nothing had been cleaned. Neither of the beds were made. The front desk brought us soap and shampoo. No explanation as to why our room was not cleaned even though we asked several different times. 3. Starbucks in the lobby (employees didn’t show up for work so hotel staff had to work the counter) .....waited 20 min for a caramel macchiato. Other customers that ordered after me were being served first. I had to leave to go to my son’s graduation so I asked for a refund. The front desk literally refunded me the cost of the cup I didn’t get ($3.74). Very dissatisfied that I was not compensated for all the problems we encountered. I asked several times for compensation. The hotel staff felt that they were only obligated to refund the room difference and refund the coffee price. Typically places will go over and above to make it right. The manager asked what I wanted. What was I supposed to say? They should’ve handled it differently. I believe the hotel should give me some compensation to cover all the issues I encountered at your hotel.
