Ventajas: I loved the view from the window. The staff was overall helpful and friendly especially the housekeeping is the best! All of them were so nice and respectful. The beach was nice but smoking killed it! We took a private yacht tour from the hotel it was really nice.
Desventajas: They could improve their facilities. The hotel is so empty. No tennis court, no billiard, no darts no activities at all. It was a bit boring. The only thing they have is the pool and beach and also you can rent jetski or yacht etc. that’s it. Also they need to ban smoking at the beach!!! On our last day it was disgusting everyone was smoking we couldn’t breathe at all we left the beach early. There so many kids there as well let them breathe fresh air! If someone is coming to the beach to smoke and kill the fresh air then let them not come!!!! Also their bar on top was disgusting full of smoke so we didn’t even stay more than 30seconds. Thank god rooms were fresh free of smoke.

Desventajas: Por la llegada y salida de los vuelos desde Asia, a horarios de madrugada figuraba un early check in, pero al hacer la consulta, me contestaron que solo si hay disponibilidad,(nadie se arriesga a llegar a las 3 am ) y no tener donde dormir..Me recomendaron sacar una noche mas(la anterior a la llegada y que lo tendrian en cuenta), No fue asi.

Superb, friendly butler service (Muhammad) with his great attention to detail and tailored offerings to the kids (for example the kids' library concept). Very nice beach club. Convenient access to an adjacent shopping mall. Room quality and tidiness was to a very high standard.
Desventajas: The hotel was really excellent, so it is difficult to identify any issues. As a VERY MINOR comment/constructive criticism, there could have been slightly better follow-up from the concierge service - e.g. not just "We can't do it" but rather "We can't do it but here are some alternative options". Providing alternative options is typically very helpful for us guests :).

Ventajas: Very comfortable hotel with lovely grounds and a great beach. The hotel rooms all have balconies where you can watch the sunset and some rooms have very spacious balconies. Nice gym and sauna area. Good selection at breakfast. Staff are all very friendly and go the extra mile to make sure you’re enjoying your holiday.
Desventajas: The view of the mosque is somewhat obstructed by building work.

Ventajas: El detalle en la habitacion por la luna de miel. La profesionalidad de todo el equipo de recepcion y de las personas que te atienden a la entrada.
Desventajas: El servicio de restauración. La comida estaba bastante bien pero era complicado encontrar mesa ya fuese para desayunar o comer. Creo que habria que reforzar el personal en este area para desbarasar mas rapido las mesas y montarlas para futuros clientes. Se que no es sencillo pero por eso uno va a un Shangri-La para no tener este tipo de situaciones. Los que estaban trabajando iban a tope por lo que no es culpa de ellos.

He knew everything and advised according to your needs. Very helpful and polite. Saima at the front desk was great too gave us a lovely warm welcome. The rooms were a decent size and very cosy. The kitchenette was very handy. The valet parking service was great. Just hand your ticket in and within minites your car was there. Overall very good and a great experience. Would definitwly recommend

Ventajas: The beach is big with white sand ,the drink kept flowing making us feel like we were on a tropical holiday. The room is clean, big, modern and very comfortable.
Desventajas: The Food. Tried Nesma, Turtle and Simsim. Three different restaurants with three levels of disappointment. At the end of my stay, felt bitter for having paid so much money for such average (or below) food. Nesma is the beach bar, didn't expect to have amazing meals there as the place was more drinks oriented. We had the lobster quesadillas and it was good. But also had the burger and even though we asked for medium it was dry and under seasoned. Then in the evening had the sea food grilled platter in the Turtle restaurant and the lobster felt chewy tough and tasted like it was kind of old. To be fair, the fried calamari and the grilled prawns were good. After dinner we went back to Nesma and shared a bottle of wine and a shisha, service was good and it was enjoyable. Morning buffet in Simsim was also disappointing and left us asking for more. Don't get me wrong, the food is not horrible,it's just average or slightly below in so many different ways at a high unjustifiable price.

La zona de niños tampoco está terminada: de 5 días que nos quedamos, la piscina para ellos sólo estuvo abierta dos días y el río lento no tenía ni agua todavía

Ventajas: I loved the view from the window. The staff was overall helpful and friendly especially the housekeeping is the best! All of them were so nice and respectful. The beach was nice but smoking killed it! We took a private yacht tour from the hotel it was really nice.
Desventajas: They could improve their facilities. The hotel is so empty. No tennis court, no billiard, no darts no activities at all. It was a bit boring. The only thing they have is the pool and beach and also you can rent jetski or yacht etc. that’s it. Also they need to ban smoking at the beach!!! On our last day it was disgusting everyone was smoking we couldn’t breathe at all we left the beach early. There so many kids there as well let them breathe fresh air! If someone is coming to the beach to smoke and kill the fresh air then let them not come!!!! Also their bar on top was disgusting full of smoke so we didn’t even stay more than 30seconds. Thank god rooms were fresh free of smoke.

Desventajas: Por la llegada y salida de los vuelos desde Asia, a horarios de madrugada figuraba un early check in, pero al hacer la consulta, me contestaron que solo si hay disponibilidad,(nadie se arriesga a llegar a las 3 am ) y no tener donde dormir..Me recomendaron sacar una noche mas(la anterior a la llegada y que lo tendrian en cuenta), No fue asi.

Ventajas: The Seaview room we stayed in was nice, comfy bed and spaceous. We move to this one from a city view room that wasn't very nice. We had to pay supplement but they charged us the supplement for 1 night when we stayed 2 nights.
Desventajas: The city view room we had payed for had 2 windows very narrow. It was actually claustrophobic. The breakfast was the most disorganized breakfast I have seen in my life. There were 3 waiters for about 50 tables. No tables available and when one got free it was full of plates and cups and nobody was there to clean them. after 10 minutes we cleared one table of the things that were on it and used it as it was. But to get cutlery we asked some waiters that were running around and after few times asking they were coming with it if you were lucky. I haven't experienced such a thing even in 2 star hotels. Very disappointed. Swimming poll had shade most of morning.

Desventajas: That was actually small thing but destroyed every good feeling about the hotel. The hotel made some trial fire alarm during the night at 2am. This would be understandable because it is for our safety actually, but the attitude of the staff who organised it was just awful. They got out from the hotel all the guests, but for them it was just a fun, like we are in kindergarten!

Ventajas: Hay varios restaurantes y bares en este hotel, además de un inmenso y bien equipado gimnasio. En general, la comida está bien en la mayoría de los restaurantes.
Desventajas: Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas, las camas son incómodas, el aire acondicionado es muy viejo y ruidoso. El personal usa ordenadores anticuados que muchas veces no funcionan.

No nos cambiaron a la habitación superior habitación club en el 4er piso
Tras las quejas nos dieron una en el 3er piso con vistas al mar.
No coordinaron los diferentes departamentos
Creo que lo pensaré dos veces antes de estar allí.

Desventajas: No recomendaría para nada este hotel. El personal es muy ineficiente. No responden a tus demandas. Teníamos una cama supletoria en la que era imposible dormir. Durísima y los muelles se clavaban. El agua caliente no funcionaba ni el desagüe de la bañera. Faltaban luces. ... el servicio en el restaurante era lentísimo. Un verdadero desastre.

Desventajas: The staff is too bad and the receptions eliaveta not even smile and was tuff it’s not a person should be in the reception to welcome the guests . Not worth it to be in this hotel at all

Ventajas: The staff is always on point and friendly, the beds are comfy and the private beach is a nice bonus too.
Desventajas: It definitely could use some upgrades and attention. The rooms are nice but outdated. It would be nice to see the room service menu updated too, same menu for the past 2 years now. The equipment in the gym could use some attention, meaning, a good solid cleaning!

Ventajas: Staff, food and location excellent but this 40 yr old hotel is now in need of a bit of love and attention. Excellent outside space and pools. Food and customer service was excellent, with special thanks to Kutz and Ribikta from the in-house La Mamma Italian restaurant. Air conditioning failed in the bedroom on the third night, but the full unit was replaced with little fuss and within hours by the engineering staff.
Desventajas: Decor in Suite 318 could do with a bit of attention, but didn't detract much from a fantastic stay. Door locks were being replaced on our floor during the stay, with keycard touch rather then slot locks and I'm looking forward to seeing the renovation work promised over the next couple of years for any future visit.

Ventajas: This hotel has been around for a good number of years, but don't let that discourage you for a moment. From the moment I walked in, Vivek at the reception was super attentive and helpful up to the extreme, made me feel like they valued my SPG status at all times.
Although the property may show signs of aging the interior is well kept and impecable at every place you look at. Yes, the decor may look old, but the rooms are pristine clean and very comfortable; even the bathroom felt as one of a palace. I had a fantastic time, at the lounge the attention from the gentleman there was nothing short of amazing, unfortunately I forgot his name but he does deserve the credit for being wonderful at his job. Will come back any day without a doubt.

Ventajas: - Samil working in the pool bar. He was so attentive, polite and attentive. And he made some great cocktails. - The water slide was a big hit with the kids. - The breakfast was pretty good, lots of options
Desventajas: - We stayed on a non-smoking floor/area, yet people in rooms next to us were clearly smoking - The room had poor natural lighting - The hotel overall, room decor and furniture are old and very dated - Many of the chairs around the pool area are in a state of disrepair and in serious need of cleaning - Use of non-motorised devices are not free - The second coffee machine in the breakfast restaurant was broken for the 3 days we were there, resulting in queues for the only working one - The club lounge area temperature was far too cold - The enclosed area for the club lounge permitted smoking and the door is left wide open so stinks out the rest of the area.
