We got there with no safety issues. That is about all the good I can think of. Also a miracle our bags made it since the delay due to Condor made us miss our connection. The best part of the flights were when we switched to Luftansa controlled planes.
Don't confuse their logo with Luftansa. They are far from it. Known for delays, disruption and breakdowns. Our flight was delayed 4-5 hours on the way to Europe because the food cart didn't fit. Then a delay of 2 hours on way back to US because 3 of the 6 bathrooms didn't work. Had to wait in this prison like gate with hardly any AC and then take a bus to the plane. DO YOUR RESEARCH. This airline survives on those who don't do their homework(Like me) and those who don't take others reviews seriously. Spend the extra money and get an airline that is consistent. Check out Condor's on time rate..yikes.
Very efficient at doing their jobs. Made up time in the air. Seats fairly comfortable. Good temp maintained.
Our flight was delayed by an hour and a half. This happens sometimes, of course, however a gesture of not charging €10 for an upgrade from the mesely two tv shows/movies would’ve been an appropriate approach to treating customers right. Food was decent, but don’t have any allergies as the accommodations are definitely lacking. Crew was polite, but not overly social or friendly.

a couple more movie options for a 9 hour flight would have been nice. crew was "distant" not very personal
The flight was only delayed 45min instead of 48hrs (like our original flight was).
Delays, terrible food, the guy roaming around the pre boarding area whose only job is to weigh random bags and charge $75 when you're over the unpublished weight limit (and the bags were fine on the trip over, so not sure what changed). Expensive inflight entertainment.
Fligjt canceled, bad customer support, lost bag
12 hour flight with no in flight movies unless you paid an extra EUR 10. Food tastes bad, plus I was skipped from the second meal despite having prepaid for it (flight attendant overlooked that my seat was on a list, part of the problems that come with nickeling and diming for every single thing including even meals on an international flight). Despite flying to the US, attendants consistently only spoke German to me and my wife, did not speak on both German and English.
Delayed twice, no explanation. Full flight then had to board through one door, with no separation of seat numbers. Truly amateur. Euro Wings food choices certainly didn't appeal.
Timing Food Service Entertainment
If I can give this airline negative stars, I would.
Lack of communication. Lack of sympathy. Lack of knowledge. From the beginning, I wasn’t given the boarding pass to my connecting flight nor was I informed as to why. When I finally made it to my connecting flight with NO time to spare (very small window of approximately 45 minutes to make it to my connecting flight) my husband, my son and I were turned away from our flight due to over booking. The Eurowings manager guarantees we would be able to make another flight if we went to the ticket counter right away. At the ticket counter, (different airline) the ticket agent explained we’d have to transfer our booking over from Eurowings to the new airline. This left us NO time to make that flight the Eurowings manager guaranteed us we would make. We also waited 3 hours at the baggage claim office only for them to tell us they lost all our bags. Only 2 out of our 5 bags made it onto the flight and will be waiting at lost and found of our final destination and the other 3 bags are unknown of their whereabouts. The Eurowings ticket agent took ALL of our bags including my husbands and I carry ons, so we were left with no clothing and had to stay at the airport over night. This airline really sucks. We were never informed in advance of this over booking issue or I would have certainly made my own accommodations before hand. Will never fly Eurowings again. Definitely the worst airline I’ve traveled with. And I lost 5 bags in the process.
