Después de pasar por una renovación completa, el hotel ofrece espacios nuevos y renovados que mejoran todos los aspectos del elegante encanto costero. Las 177 habitaciones cuentan con terrazas o balcones privados que ofrecen una vista única al océano Atlántico, al hermoso campo de golf profesional de 18 hoyos y a los jardines. Tempera es un restaurante abierto todo el día que ofrece bufets temáticos diarios. El Emprata Bistro presenta un concepto de platos diseñados para compartir, así como una experiencia de comidas informales única. Es posible disfrutar de comida ligera en compañía con una hermosa vista en el Contato Lobby Bar. Los chefs se toman la cocina muy en serio y se enorgullecen de sus creaciones. También podrá hacer ejercicio en un moderno gimnasio que cuenta con una piscina interior con temperatura regulada, una piscina al aire libre, una bañera de hidromasajes y un baño turco. Ventajas: Todo magnífico. Las instalaciones muy cuidadas, la amabilidad de todo el personal, los servicios y actividades que ofrece, el desayuno y los restaurantes, la piscina. Todo limpísimo y muy agradable. El gimnasio y el kalyan wellness center estupendos. Recomendable 100%. Perfecto para familias con niños. Volveremos.

Ventajas: Primero destacar a INés GIl, un placer llegar a un lugar y que te atiendan con tanta amabilidad...siempre dispuesta a solucionarnos cualquier inconveniente!los socorristas de la playa encantadores con los niños!en general todos..los que atienden allí muy amables...el hotel precioso...para llegar cuesta un poco...unida pega que el mar para pequeños es medio peligroso pero la playa es preciosa!!!

Desventajas: Fire alarms went off at 5am with no staff around to tell us what to do, as we thought it was a false alarm due to a storm. It was, but they had difficulty keeping the alarm off, so no sleep one night. They did refund the nights stay which is the right thing to do,

Desventajas: The whole atmosphere is a bit dated. And not in the best way as with a classic hotel, but more 80-ies lacking charm and genuine quality. The bar is newly decorated in a good way but does not blend in - the whole hotel should have been re-designed to meet a new generation of travellers.

Desventajas: Very challenging to get to and the staff member gave us wrong directions causing us to be treated very poorly by a resident of Óbidos when we tried to go down a street. She didn’t assist with luggage and didn’t provide the welcoming drink she promised. The hot water ran out while showering.

Ventajas: The staff was attentive. The breakfast was pretty okay. Just what you needed to get the day going.
Desventajas: there is a terrace but the door is jammed. They should repair that so guests don’t have to ask. We didn’t bother to ask because we were too busy touring the wonderful medieval town of Óbidos, but it would have been nice to enjoy a nice breeze early morning or before tucking in to bed. Ventajas: The fact that the hotel is inside the walls is a plus. The breakfast is very good. The staff is super friendly. The breakfast is very good and has a good amount of variety to choose from. The room was very clean and was cleaned every day.
Desventajas: The location is great because it is inside the walls however the access to hotel is not very pleasant, especially if you have a big car. The bed makes too much noises and the room isolation is a bit week.

Ventajas: Habitación amplia, con bañera, muy buena limpieza y un sitio acogedor que hacen que pases unos días en familia muy buenos. Buenas vistas a Óbidos y un personal muy amable que habla en Español.
Desventajas: Hay que coger el coche para ir a la villa de Obidos(castillo) pero es mejor asi porque es imposible meterte allí con el coche. Son solo 2 minutos.

Ventajas: This hotel was the perfect way to end our two and a half week visit of mainland Portugal. Situated in the beautiful countryside of, Obidos, Casa de Campo Sao Rafael provided a quiet, old world charm, calming retreat. The pool and grounds are beautiful. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices and everything was fresh and delicious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was quite large. I would highly recommend staying at Casa de Campo Sao Rafael when in Obidos.

Ventajas: Really friendly staff. Clean bedroom and bathroom. They kept the room warm despite it being very cold outside. The breakfast was still waiting for us even beyond the scheduled time. Just delightful.
Desventajas: As stated by many reviewers, the shower is tight (I’m a big man) and the water splashes to the floor really easily.

Ventajas: beautiful hotel, located conveniently close to 3 amazing golf courses. Room was really lovely, very large and modern, with a good size balcony. Only slight disappointment was the building of new villas going on directly outside our room, which spoilt what was supposed to be a golf course view. However, the overall experience at the hotel was first class, great value for money.
Desventajas: A little out of the way from any bars/restaurants other than those at the golf courses.

Ventajas: The house is a 2 minute drive from Obidos, intimately "isolated" at the end of a road and with no other house around, surrounded by green fields. We immediately loved this position. We knock on the door, nobody opens, then we enter slowly and immediately we are wrapped in the atomosphere of the house, in front of us a long corridor, a few lamps on the walls with soft light and the wooden floor that creaked. At the end of the corridor we find the "reception" and the host of the house, who very kindly accompanies us to our upstairs room. The room is very nice, in line with the decor of the house, large bathroom, large soft towels, and beautiful antique wood furniture. Breakfast was another noteworthy part, held in the dining room at a huge oval table, it was plentiful, well-kept (with homemade cakes) and full of atmosphere. The interesting thing is that we all stay (us and all the other guest) at the same (only) table, so we socialize with the other guests and pass each other's food like a family. If you like this kind of experience the house is absolutely for you!
Desventajas: The beds, however beautiful and ancient, are not very comfortable.

Desventajas: Las habitaciones un poco austeras, se echa de menos una television, y hacia un poco de frio en la habitacion.

Desventajas: Fuimos dos adultos y una niña de 9 años, por lo que pedimos habitación de matrimonio con cama supletoria. NUNCA me había pasado encontrarme un COLCHÓN EN EL SUELO. Y ni siquiera era un colchón... Algo así como el respaldo de un sofá, estirado, vestido con sábanas a modo de cama. Pero nos pareció muy cutre. El desayuno está ben de cantidad aunque deja un poco que desear la calidad. Te ponen algo de embutido de sobre, del más barato del hipermercado. Pedimos aceite para el pan y nos dijeron que "NO, NO TENEMOS ACEITE PARA LOS DESAYUNOS". ¡¡¡¿¿¿Cómooooo???!!! Estamos hablando de Portugal, dieta mediterránea al igual que en España. Tienen unos aceites de oliva tan ricos como los nuestros y con gran variedad. Y nos lo negaron. Untamos en pan con margarina semi-vegetal que JAMÁS compraría en mi casa

Ventajas: Although location was ideal, we did not receive instructions in time on how to enter town and therefore could not enter the town for about an hour. Very frustrating. Then we discovered that there was no internet wifi working in our room. Room had musty smell. Bread for breakfast tasted old. Receptionist upon arrival unfriendly, receptionist upon departure very nice. Owner tried to make amends but not sufficient.

Desventajas: El coche hay que dejarlo lejos, ya que no está permitido estacionarlo en el centro histórico y la calle es en subida y adoquinada. Al ser una casa muy antigua, son todos los ambientes muy pequeños, y para algunas habitaciones hay que subir o bajar varios escalones, lo que con el equipaje es un poco complicado!

No air conditioning. You cant leave your patio doors open as the balconies form both directions are so close you can climb over them. We didn't like the idea of anyone being able to get in our room when we were asleep. Very over built, sprawling resort in the middle of no where. Swimming pool needed cleaning. Definitely aroma of children's wee! Has a small supermarket. opening hours not great and overpriced. This is at height of summer! Shop in Obidos before you arrive. Kitchen not equipped to a great standard. Very basic.

Desventajas: The grocery store on site is rediculous (small, limited offerings, no fresh bread,etc). The place looks half deserted half inhabited. There are plenty of sports and outdoor activities offered but the people at the reception did not mention anything about it to us for some odd reason. It took 15 minutes just to get in and out of the area anytime we wanted to do something or buy something. The area called “beachfront” does not mean you really get a room facing the beach ! Beware.

Situated in the beautiful countryside of, Obidos, Casa de Campo Sao Rafael provided a quiet, old world charm, calming retreat. The pool and grounds are beautiful. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices and everything was fresh and delicious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was quite large. I would highly recommend staying at Casa de Campo Sao Rafael when in Obidos.

They should have offered a discount because so many facilities were unavailable. Ventajas: Breakfast was very good and the decoration was very tasteful with the books and wooden elements. The location was very convenient and it was relatively easy to find parking nearby.
Desventajas: Several things. First, the staff was not friendly at all. Second, there was a lot of dust everywhere and the hotel did not feel clean at all. It was very damp, and the corridors had a very peculiar smell. Another point is the service. We were unable to book a table for the desired time at the restaurant, only to find out, when we arrived, that it was nearly empty. We couldn't understand why we could not be given a table. Another problem was that the bathroom did not have a door in the bedroom, only a curtain. At the end of our stay, there was a mistake with our bill where two deserts were charged, and we did not eat any deserts. Glad I double checked everything before paying.

Ventajas: La ubicacion estaba muy bien para ver el centro historico. La relacion calidad preio me parecio un poco excesiva. La habitacion estaba fria, los techos son altos y eso hace que la habitacion no llegue a caldearse bien.

Ventajas: The book theme was unique and staff were friendly. Location is perfect to explore Obidos castle and the surrounding areas.
Desventajas: The hotel had limited places for guests. Although the hotel website advertises the gin bar as an exciting place, it was empty and not inviting to have a drink in the gin room. The only other area to chill is where dinner and breakfast is also served which is a lovely place but this is where family with kids hang out as well. We were in this hotel for 5 nights and felt a bit trapped. The room (no 7) was rather compact, very limited wardrobe space (we lived out of our suit cases). The bath tub had seen better days, looked tired and a bit dirty/rusty. I provided my feedback to the hotel on our first day but just had to live with it for the duration of our stay

Desventajas: Room too expensive for what you get, carpet was wet and room felt/smelt musty, probably due to shower not draining. Noisy aircon, and suite decor fits better into a alpine resort. No parking (but that was known)

Ventajas: The space is amazing for book lovers. Although you have lots of copies from the same books still you get guarantee of variety in between 65k books. Great environment. The city is spectacular.
Desventajas: The humidity in the rooms is be solved with AC and heaters. Rooms could be more cozy but after all it is a building with 500 years old. Rooms and toilets could have some improvements but it was a good deal nevertheless.

Ventajas: La ubicación del establecimiento no ha podido ser más perfecta y bonita. Salir a la puerta en la calle más bonita y céntrica dentro de las murallas, a las puertas casi del castillo, eso no tiene precio. La excelente atención y amabilidad por parte del personal del hotel, buenísima. Las camas eran muy comodas y la habitación muy amplia. Muy curiosa la decoración tipo medieval
Desventajas: No me gustó la fachada del hotel. es demasiado bonita su entrada para mirar hacia arriba y ver desconchada toda la fachada, nuestra habitación muy amplia pero tenía bastante olor a humedad y la ventana era muy pequeña, alta y con rejas, no es por asomarte pero puede provocar claustrofobia. El cuarto de bajo tenía humedad sobre la bañera y con ello también algo desconchado el techo, la estufa del baño con oxido. Iluminación muy pobre y el sistema de aire caliente muy antiguo, de aire, con lo cual a personas con alergias nos viene faltal. El hotel está muy limpio y muy confortable pero el mobiliario es antiquísimo. Me recordaba a los años 80.

Ventajas: Ubicación en pleno centro de Óbidos, silencioso. Sala de estar muy bonita y acogedora.
Desventajas: No funcionaba ascensor, doble puerta en la habitación y en la cerradura un papel higiénico para tapar el hueco de la llavera. El aire acondicionado-calefacción era una estufa antigua muy ruidosa. Un sólo enchufe en toda la habitación. Dos lámparas: una no funcionaba y la otra cuando quería o parpadeaba. Mobiliario bastante antiguo. En el baño, la mámpara no encajaba y los desagües no hacían su función. Las paredes entre habitaciones, finas( oíamos la niña y la vibración del móvil del vecino) En conclusión, un hotel 3 estrellas cuando se abrió, bajo mi punto de vista, hoy lo clasificaría como Hostal. No repetiría ni recomiendo.

Ventajas: Perfect location on the main street of the village, very historical atmosphere, clean and tidy. Perfect comfy bed. What else would one reasonbly need for small holidays?
Desventajas: Some minor repairs in the room (door handler) and in tha bathroom (shower leaking, soap placeholder) would make the overall impression impaccable.

Desventajas: Wouldn’t choose this hotel again! WiFi didn’t work in any area of the hotel, no hot water - asked reception they said they changed the gas, still didn’t work. Hard to find, the check in directions were unclear for driving inside the wall. For only 15-20 euros cheaper per night than other places we had stayed, the facilities were far less than expected.

Ventajas: the breakfast was perfect, the location is just in the heart of the old city, lot of restaurants around, very nice room with nicely designed bathroom, very nice atmosphere.
Desventajas: during the night both of us we were bitten by insects, the bites went into infection....
