Our stay at the Naxos island hotel was excellent. The staff was very helpful prior to our stay and throughout our visit. Their email responses were quick and they provided many good recommendations. The entire staff from the manager to the bar tenders were wonderful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. This hotel is small but has a very personal touch. They remember your name and try to make you feel like home. The buffet breakfast was delicious and they will make you food upon request. The restaurant was also very good. Rooms are spacious with a big bathroom and shower. Would come again and recommend to friends!
This hotel is amazing. The first thing to note is the hospitality. My husband and I had never experienced anything like this before and we have traveled extensively. We took a ferry from Santorini to Naxos early in the morning and arrived at the hotel around 9am, long before check-in time. We expected to drop off our bags and head to the beach as would typically be the case. Instead, we were immediately greeted by Faye (the woman working reception) who knew us by name based on our arrival time. She was profusely apologetic about our room not being ready, spent about 30 minutes going over everything about the hotel and the island to help us maximize our time there, and then invited us to eat a free breakfast on their roof terrace while we waited for our room even though it wasn't included in our stay for the day of arrival. We were so taken aback by the kindness of the staff. They all went above and beyond to make our stay special. They helped us set up day trips, book reservations, made countless recommendations, etc. When they were showing us around the breakfast area, they told us that if there was anything else we wanted for breakfast that they didn't have, we just had to let them know and they would go buy it for us and bring it back within minutes (I'm sorry, WHAT?!). In addition to the hospitality, the staff at this hotel are passionate about Naxos. They are all well versed in the history and culture of the island and they are eager to share that with guests. When we got in the taxi to leave the hotel at the end of our stay, Faye from the front desk came running out of the hotel, yelling something in Greek to the driver. We assumed she had something important to tell him or that we had left something important at the hotel, forgotten to settle a bill, or some such thing. Next thing we know, she's opening the door of the taxi saying "I couldn't have you leave without saying goodbye!" We felt like family, not like guests.
I would say nothing, but we did have one weird situation happen to us. We booked a transfer through the hotel to take us to the ferry when we were leaving. We were told that the hotel had a contract with a local car service and that we could pay 15 euro to the hotel (added on to our bill) and then they would settle up with the driver. This seemed pretty standard at most of the hotels, so we booked it. When the driver dropped us off, he requested the 15 euro. We told him we had already paid it to the hotel. He got very angry and started yelling saying that the hotel lies to its guests saying that they have a contract with him but that he never sees a dime of it and that they treat him like a slave and never pay him. Truthfully, it was a very uncomfortable experience because we felt pressured to pay him even though we had already paid. I hope that what he said isn't true, but he looked like he was about to burst into tears which was pretty convincing. Nothing about our stay or the incredible staff we met at the hotel would suggest that this type of shady business is taking place, but it certainly raised a few red flags for us and is something to be aware of.

A short walk to a beautiful beach. Great restaurants within a few minutes walk. Staff for breakfast and drinks on the rooftop were excellent.
A few minor issues with toilet. Did not receive towel replacement after toilet issue.
