There was a little bit of space on the floor, enough for a sleeping bag. I have been in rooms that don't even have that.
In the ad on line, it said they had a pool, even had a picture of it. So early morning I went looking for the pool in the hot sun only to find out there was no pool ! The ad also said full continental breakfast. They had cereal, waffles, juice, milk, Blueberry muffins, danish, toast and coffee. They were extremely stingy with the milk. My friend, who is black, asked for some milk for her baby and they said they didn't have any. The next day I was sitting there eating my bowl of fruit rings and a white lady walks up to the desk and asks for some milk and they went and filled it half full. On the last day of my stay the waffle maker was missing. Another one of my friends asked what happened to the waffle maker and they said it was broken. I think they just didn't want to put out some more batter, or they ran out of batter.
Nothing. I was told that they couldn't accept guests with local ID
Rude front desk.
Okay for a quick crash
Wasn't really much to brag about, lady was nice after my lovely girlfriend talked to her.
We got there about 9 pm, the first room we were put in had 2 dead roaches right in front of us on the carpet and it had an awful stench, can definitely tell its been vacant for a while. I returned to the front desk, I apologized for being a pain, but I wasn't going to let us stay in that room. The second room was a little better, till we seen the amount of body hair in the shower and the sheets. My girlfriend returned to the front desk and got us a third try. This room was cleaned that morning. We made it work... if you are staying in Wilmington, spend the extra couple of dollars stay at the beach or downtown. Not worth your hassle and your money, cheap, ripoff whatever you want to call it. Howard Johnson should really take their name off it. Horrible representation.
Stayed There (Several Times) Before, Never Again
I like the location of the Hotel.
When I checked in on Sunday, the tub was dirty and was not cleaned until Tuesday (I asked Monday). The room had a strong smell of urine-- I bought a bottle of odor spray to take care of it. There were small gnats in the room, which made me think there was uncovered food in the room before I checked in. The free breakfast room also had gnats (some on the food) so I only used it once. I have stayed at this hotel several times (maybe 4-5), and have noticed its quality is now awful. I won't ever stay there again.
El personal era super amable!!!!
The staff was very friendly
The breakfast was way too basic, not diversified and not welcoming
This property is in a dilapidated state and unclean. There was hair on the pillows and a stain on the sheets. I paid for four nights, but was unable to make it through one. Do not waste your money on this motel.
Es triste ver un nombre conocido no hay justicia... el olor de la habitación... no hay nada que hacer aparte de dormir... no hay... no hay desayuno... edificios necesitan atención. Potencia.. pintura... ver. etc....
Size of room, coffee pot and ease of access in and out of room
Housekeeping staff was very rude on numerous occasions, no Wifi access
