The grounds were pretty.
The owners were on vacation and left a young woman with a family staying there that could not speak only a few words of english. We were not allowed to come check in there until 5pm. There was no breakfast available. We were told there would breakfast available while we were there at a cost. We requested a room on ground level for a disabled husband. We were given a second floor room that was up steep uneven steps that were not lit at night. We were offered a smaller floor level room but there would be no heat. Temperatures were 45 to 55 degrees while we were there. So we stayed in the second floor room. Our friends we traveled with had to help my husband up and down the stairs. We had to request a coffee pot. A single serving french press came that we had to share between 2 rooms. (4 people). One had to back into the WC to sit on the toilet and try to close the sliding door across your knees.
Nice old landhouse, well decorated, very friendly owner. A place as it should be, good bed, cosy and enough privacy.
The only thing I can think of is to raise the temperature in the room for breakfast a bit. My father in law, 82 years old, had cold feet.
The owner had gone on vacation and left a non English speaking girl there to stay. The owner had promised us gluten free breakfast and a main floor apt for our friends who were traveling with us due to a disability The stairs were nearly impossible for him and four days of it was grueling. There was no breakfast as the kitchen and the rest of the inn had been closed down for winter. We were not aware of that until the day we arrived. The main reason I booked this place was because they offered breakfast and it had outside tables to sit at. These were no longer set up. We felt abandoned and lied to. It was far away from the Centre and not an easy drive to get there for all of our food etc. there were no blankets and only two towels for 4 days. We even had to buy toilet tissue.
We were welcomed to a beautiful property and a lovely spacious room, with very nice bath. The owner, Bernard was friendly and helpful with all our questions. We enjoyed the fresh breakfast, served in the wine cellar.
– Apartment is charming and comfortable restored attic, equipped with, among other things, couches, dining table and chairs, kitchenette, large double bed and modern bathroom. – Apartment is part of authentic stylish French style village house. – Owners are very friendly and hospitable. – Location near Beaune is good base to visit places of interest in eastern and central Bourgogne.
– People taller than approximately 1,70 m better mind their head regularly. – Wi-Fi signal in apartment is not strong and fast.
