Waited 1.5 hours to pick up the car, some of it outside in 98 degree heat as the line was too long to fit in the trailer they use at EWR.Opinión del 3 ago 2023

Was at least 4 hour wait to get car. Would not allow us to come in building because line was too long. No communication of what was going on and not organized. Customer service is a thing of the past for Dollar at Newark Airport.Opinión del 21 jul 2023

Kayak allows you to book a reservation with Dollar (and takes your money!) even when they have no cars. Beware! Just because you have a confirmation number does not mean they have a car for you! You have to call and verify with Dollar directly.Opinión del 10 jul 2023

Newark office person not friendly at all,getting impatient if customer does not understand at first and she has to explain or answer to a question.I ended up having to apologize to her for not doing this (renting a car) too often,to get some answers in a more civilzed manner. Very dissapointed at pick-up ,a much better customer service at VPS in Fort Walton Beach,allthough even they still have to email me the receiptOpinión del 27 jun 2023

Price gouging! Paid $300 to have the car from one airport to another airport over 3 Hours total time! All Flights in NJ were cancelled and what was usually $61 dollar rental went up to $280.11 then all these fees took it to $300! It was a total rip off but we were stuck u til next day and needed to get home…Uber would’ve been cheaper! What a joke! Don’t use them or thrifty! Rip off scam artistsOpinión del 13 jun 2023

My reservation was at 6am- I didn’t walk out with a car until 7:55am. The staff lady was the rudest rep I’ve had in years. And I saw her be this way with multiple people. Was given electric car which I did not book. Then how am I supposed to find time to sit and charge it when I got it almost two hours late due to it needing to be charged. Only 3 people working with lines out the door. Took over 2 hours to rent a car. Majority of the issues were people had issues with not having credit card, or bank denying claim. Instead of having them step aside and take them after, they allowed the people to take 20 plus minutes to call their bank. Line would have moved much faster if they had people step aside and take the next person. Staff were rude. Would not recommend. Most other agencies did not have any lines.Opinión del 29 may 2023

No cars were available after paying for the rental. We saw one customer served in an hour of waiting. We ask for a refund and haven’t seen that processed yet.Opinión del 9 may 2023
