Misleading PricesVentajas: Don't know. After they told me the hidden fees I found a different rental company.Desventajas: Prices online are very misleading. They promote unlimited miles, but when you check in they tell you that it only comes with 150 miles and then $0.55/mile after that. It's just a scheme to get you there and hopefully pay their outrageous rates. Won't go with Advantage ever again.
Would go with another companyVentajas: The rental agent was extremely slow when we arrived to pick up the car and tried to hard sell upgrades and add-ons to the point it was annoying. When we finally got the car, it was dirty. It had 35,000 miles on it and it felt like it was nearing the end of its life as a rental car.

When I applied for the car, the price was supposed to include two drivers, my wife and myself. However, when I picked up the car they said it would be an additional thirteen dollars a day for two drivers.
We also didn't receive the kind of car that we expected. The one we did receive had tire inflation issues.

Paid $145 for Economy car for a one-day rental; I usually go with Hertz or Enterprise but those two companies and most others had no cars available that day. Advantage was not familiar with the insurance I purchased through Kayak and they sold me on their insurance so I probably overpaid. With the $18 I paid for the insurance through Kayak I paid $163 for a 19 hour rental for a little car and bad service.

Poor customer service and cleanlinessDesventajas: Discovered mice in the car and could not use the vehicle for half the trip. Had to go through multiple customer service reps because a manager was never available. Ended up getting a full refund after nearly a week worth of phone calls to the rental site and customer service number. They didn't believe me until I provided pictures.
Desventajas: I received a dirty car, both inside and out. It had a huge crack in the window that grew overnight. Seats were dirty with big stains. The inside smelled.
I returned the vehicle for a new one and instead of acknowledging my problems, they charged me for a gallon of gas.

Paid for full size car and only offered arguably midsize Hyundai Elantra and Nissan Altima. Cars were very clean and in good shape. Felt like I got a good deal on the contract but wish the cars were bigger. Desventajas: Need bigger cars for full size option. Everything g else was great.

Jeep renegade is NOT an SUV. Ventajas: It drove just fine. It was clean. Desventajas: First thing first, i understand you cannot guarantee a brand or model of car. However, giving me a Jeep renegade and calling it "RAV4 or similar" is laughable. The RAV4 has 73.4 cubic feet of cargo space. This boxy little jeep has 50.8. That's quite a drastic difference. I fit more stuff in my 06 Corolla, and I'm being completely serious.
Secondly, the RAV4 gets ~31mpg on the highway. This 4x4 box averaged 22 over 2 days. It's supposed to get 31 but it didn't. Maybe it needs a tune up.

Good, but "in the airport" was a lieVentajas: In searching through Kayak, I was given several options for rental places outside of the airport. I disabled these, and specifically chose a place that was listed as being "in the airport". When I got to OKC, I followed the signs, out to a shuttle bus that took us on a ride off the airport, to the rental car outpost.
That said, the ride was quick and free, the driver was courteous and helpful, and the rental itself was quick and easy.Desventajas: I was surprised to find the rental car area outside the airport".

A bad experience overall.Desventajas: I made a reservation for Aidan and I on Dec 27 2017, for a car through Kayak over the holidays. The location of pick up was in Galway Ireland. My partner of the day of the rental calls the reservation line, to tell them we are running late and want to change the pick up time for the reservation 1255******. Then he states by accident he made another reservation the day before not knowing I made this reservation so he would like to keep reservation 1255****** and void the other one he made. Well, the agent puts him on hold and then the phone call is disconnected. We call back immediately and get connected to the actual Galway location. They state to us that the agent must have accidently cancelled reservation 1255****** and kept the other one under Aidan. At first, the employees at Enterprise (Galway) was incessant that we must have been dealing with Kayak. I stated "no" many times and that it was indeed an Enterprise agent who I was dealing with. The employee at Galway location stated they could not honor the price of the online reservation 1255****** because the agent cancelled the wrong reservation and there was nothing they could do about it. They stated "the price for a car that day was much higher than my original reservation made through Kayak. Even if it was an accident on Enterprise's part." We first spoke to a female at the Galway location who put us on hold forever, and then an male assistant manager. He stated in fact, the enterprise agent who cancelled the reservation never put her ID # number next to cancellation so there was no reference to complain to. This was a frustrated experience to say the least. I was on the phone over an hour at least. We were frustrated because all we wanted to do was to change the pick up time that day and It ended up being a mess because of an Enterprise's agent mistake. We did not do any actions to create this havoc. Additonally, the Enterprise agents and Galway employees were insistent that we deal directly through Kayak. I noted to them the reservation confirmation (email) in description states we ONLY deal with Enterprise on the reservation. They were incorrect in advising us and I think they did not want to deal with this mistake. We ended up going to Budget Galway and spending $450 on a rental. But they were so organized and lovely, we did not mind. We go to Galway and other countries for family quite a bit and it is a shame we cannot use Enterprise as an option.
They dont "pick you up"Desventajas: Front tires bald, pulled to right and steering wheel vibration. Piece of trim rubbing the tire. Had to switch out cars half way through vacation. do they even inspect these cars before they send them out on the road? Contrary to their slogan, they only pick you up within 6 miles and not from an airport.

OK rentalVentajas: The vehicle that was originally offered was too small but they did offer another larger vehicle for the same price. The attendant at drop off was very friendly and efficient.Desventajas: We rented a full size vehicle and were told that a Chevrolet Trax was the vehicle that was reserved. That vehicle is a very small SUV that would have never accommodated 5 adults with 10 days luggage. After complaining we were given a larger Hyundai Tuscon but all of the seats were badly stained. As this was the only vehicle on the lot that would work for us we agreed. This vehicle was comfortable and ran well but it kept giving us alerts about a bad tail light and under-inflated tires.
Desventajas: The right front tire has a slow leak. Had to fill twice.

Was told by their roadside assistance people they would take care of a hotel, but that was a lie and the manager was very rude about telling me. Have called their customer service line several times and no one is able to find my reservation. Will never put myself in this position again.

Had to return to to have air pressure sensor warning checked out and was quickly taken care of.Desventajas: Cleanliness of vehicle in and out needed work. Tire pressure light came on e few minutes after we left the pick up location. Change oil soon message on from pick up. In all fairness, this was a satilite location and the vehicle had just arrived.time and turn time over was short.

There was slobber marks all over the windshield for the previous renters gps. The glass had haze from the smokers, and ash was on the dash. The car was rattling and when I called to report all the issues, everyone in a 100 mile radius was out of cars. This was to bad as I usually use enterprise for all work related rentals.

Mostly goodVentajas: Rental place wasn’t at the airport which was unknown by us. They sent a Lyft to us to pick us up. That was nice.Desventajas: We were told that they’d take us back to the airport when we brought the rental back. However, they did not. The girl said the system was shut down. So, we had to get our own Lyft. That was more money than we had thought we were paying for the total rental.
Originally, my search was for rentals at the airport. I wish the distance would have been made clearer upfront.
Awful pick-up/drop offDesventajas: I made a prepaid reservation for the OKC airport (I entered it correctly). When I arrived, I was told my reservation was for a Hertz Facility over a mile away and there was no shuttle service available. So, I either had to rent a cab (to pick-up my rental car) or walk. So I chose to walk over a mile in order to get my car (while carrying my suitcase because there was not a side walk most of the way). The Hertz counter was not sympathetic or understanding at all and offered no help whatsoever (terrible customer service). When I returned the car, I had to walk the mile in return. Since it had rained earlier, my shoes and socks were soaking wet. I guess I could have rented a cab but that's ridiculous when I was trying to avoid that by renting a car in the first place. I won't reserve again through this service.
Great car, great price Ventajas: I loved the rouge. I did 5000 miles on it and it was a dream. Desventajas: The hertz store was understaffed so the wait was pretty bad. Everyone was pretty friendly though.
Ventajas: Very cheap and good condition. Desventajas: There was a one hour delay from when I was picking the car up. I ended up being late for my appointment.
Ventajas: Good service, staff competent, car clean and ran wellDesventajas: Due to a minor emergency with my elderly mother I was barely able to return the car on time and did not have time to refill the tank. The cost for them to refill is $9.99. That is serious Price Gouging! The staff person said she gave me a break ($20) but I still paid $56 dollars more than agreed upon.
Their charge of $9.99 per gallon is 4-5 times as much as gas in that area.
Desventajas: Car had a lot of air freshener that was trying to cover up some very bad odors, and not doing a very good job. The upholstery also needed a cleaning badly.
Ventajas: Everything was good. Pick up was simple. Man was very nice. Desventajas: The drop off location was not open when we had to drop off the rental. There was no slot in the door so I could return keys safely inside their office. I had to leave keys with a note inside the rental. If the facility is not opened early or late for people to return cars, they should provide this.

Paid more than was quotedDesventajas: I prepaid for my rental and was told that my total was going to be $88.00. I requested a Ford Focus if one was available and told the clerk at the counter that was what I had requested. I was given a Nissan Versa. I requested the ford because I knew that the versa's were extremely uncomfortable. Needless to say I walked past two Ford Focus on my way to the Nissan Versa. A $200 hold was put on my account and the guy told me that I was only going to be charged $9 on my card when I returned the car. However, my credit card reflects two payments, one of $26.31 and another charge of $41.27 and also on my bank account for $43.30. I filled the gas tank before I returned it. I could have rented a bigger more comfortable car for what I have been charged through Hertz. I came out here to watch my daughter graduate in the Army and left feeling ripped off by this company.
Had to buy antifreeze to put in the carVentajas: The car was nice and it drove well on my trip. Desventajas: The dashboard lights began flashing and making sounds about 1.5hr into my trip to Texas from OKC. I was in a place roadside assistance was not going to get to me quickly, so I had to begin searching for the problem in the owners manual. Found out it was the antifreeze and when I looked it was about 2" below the minimum line. Bought some more and didn't have a problem. Not counting on it but Hertz said they'd refund me so we'll see if that check ever comes.
Ventajas: Thrifty charged $300 againsst my bank debit card without any explanation and told me upon returning the car that it would take up to 10 days to restore this amount. I will not rent from Thrifty again.
