The office was closed when I arrived.Desventajas: My flight arrived a few minutes later than expected. Even though the posted hours of operation still had the office open the attendant at the airport had left for the day. I called the main number several times and no one answered the line.
Desventajas: We rented a gPS which did not work at all. It used up several hours of our time taking us to the totally wrong area of town and giving us impossible crazy directions. No one was present at 6:30am to check the car in and they knew what time we were bringing it back yet no return directions we're given to us.
It was the worst experience ever when renting a caVentajas: Nothing was aceptableDesventajas: They locked USD 1012.00 without my authorization on my credit card telling that it was temporary because I was not hiring their insurance services and didn't released it back;
They took more than 2 hours to appear on the office despite the time scheduled for 7 AM there was nobody at the office;
They provided me a very old and totally destroyed car that had lots of mechanical defects (engine was failing, front glass broken, lots of accident marks) when we saw the car first we had to get back to the Budget office to talk again to mr Bruno and explain that car wasn't in use conditions he explained that if I wanted a better car I would have to choose another company because in his words "as the name says Budget..." then I asked him to cancel everything he said his boss didn't authorize him to do that and that the only option was to get that car and drive from the airport to their Buenos Aires downtown office where they would provide another car, so as at we where already losing the whole morning of one of our vacations day we decided to go there and then another car on better conditions was provided.
When returning the car we drove to the airport and found that there was no Budget parking place to return the car, nobody at Budget office and no one in the airport (neither any of us was received any orientation) had any information about how to get hold of someone in their office, we tried to call all the phones available and wasn't attended, lost more than one and a half hour on this and them found a place with a Avis flag that an airport security officer have told me that is the same company as Budget só them I parked the car over there and finally found that Budget have a place to put the car keys when returning the car in case the office is closed.
So now after all the headache and horrible experience I had I need then to release the USD 1012 amount they are charging from my credit card and having another big headache to get hold of someone in their office to assist.

Bait and SwitchVentajas: The dripoff. Swift and effective. Desventajas: The van was clearly not in the same class as the one booked online. Classic bait and switch. "now that you're halfway around the world, here's the van that you're actually taking with you". Incredibly disappointing.

My experience with this Hertz rental was deplorable.
First, I was not allowed to decline insurance coverage, as required by my credit card company to take advantage of their covering the rental, forcing me to accept Hertz' insurance with a U$S 1000 deductible.
Second, even though my reservation through Kayak clearly stated that I was renting an "intermediate" car, Toyota Corolla or similar, I was given a much smaller and flimsier car, a Chevrolet Corsa, clearly not in the Intermediate league. When I complained, I was told that it was the only car available, and that the mix up was Kayak's fault. I wasn't even offered a discount or any other form of compensation.
No value for money Ventajas: The reception persons were very kind and professional. Smooth process and fast. Both Pick up and drop off.Desventajas: The car was very basic, Chevrolet Classic, not even electric locks or windows, scratched everywhere, more than 8 spots. For the intermediate class it is a joke, paid to much money for a rubbish car. I don't recommend it at all!
Ventajas: Car ran fine Desventajas: Drop off was horrible. Overpriced. Didn't have any cars when we arrived. Had to book the car 4 hrs in the future and we had to wait at the airport until it was time.
