Most rental car agencies in Jerusalem have negative reviews. We had a good experience with Sixt. Good car, competent check-in and check-out. However, any time we rent outside the US, we recommend protecting yourself with photos of the car before and after, asking questions about tolls and late return fees. The drivers near Jerusalem are aggressive, so we paid for the low-cost CDW even though our credit card covered us.Opinión del 10 mar 2023

pickup in jerusalem very far away, limited hours and took over 60 minutes. they did not find the reservation at all. in tel aviv , drop off only from 8- 5pm, again at inconvenient location. why not possible to drop off after hours??? wasted ton of valuable time on our trip. car beeped incessently with all sorts of needless warnings. severely underpowered and small car for 100usd a day. insurance was a good deal though.,..Opinión del 22 feb 2023

Here’s is an unmet need: Israel has switched to paying for parking with Cello or Pango. Pango only works with Israeli phones. Cello claims not to, but I could not get Cello to send a connection to my phone, so it did not work. If you cannot park, you cannot drive, as a foreigner. We picked up at Mamilla mall in Jerusalem and while it took awhile at the front desk. Once we got the car we had a great conversation with Joseph. The chat was a highlight for us during our visit to Jerusalem. Get the extra insurance, it’s worth the $246. Drivers and terrain in Israel are tricky to navigate versus the states. Car was ready, clean and pickup staff was very helpful with clear operation instructions. Charges were clear and matched estimates made at time of reservation. Nothing hidden. Car's rear seatbelt turned out to be non-functional causing back seat passengers discomfort as one had to sit in middle, cramping the other.
