They forced us to get super expensive insurance. Then they said we put a ding in the car and made us pay extra for the repairs. I will be disputing the charge entirely.Opinión del 2 jul 2022

Vehicle was in terrible shape. Missing buttons, dents everywhere, and dirty. Why don’t they mention that we need to pay for INS insurance when we book, I don’t know. It’s a total rip off.Opinión del 30 jun 2022

Economy Rent-a-Car posts a low price on services like Kayak/Priceline- but then when you get to the pickup spot in Costa Rica you learn that mandatory insurance will cost you much more than the cost of the car. At that point you have little choice but to either get no car, or pay the overage, as the booking is non-refundable. It feels upsetting and dishonest. Got to the agency and they told me I didn’t have a reservation. I showed them I did even on there own paperwork. They then told me they rented my car to someone else. Then they told me they could rent me one for 1500 more than previously. Terrible experience.Opinión del 19 feb 2022

Staff spoke fluent English which was a big help, there are a few fees and insurance so know before you go the cost will be higher. Small ussue at the end but we got through that relatively quicklyOpinión del 19 jul 2021

The car was good but I felt conned by Economy. I bought insurance while making reservations and it turns out that Costa Rican insurance requirements were not met. Had to buy more car insurance. Then the rate that was quoted to me was not the same as what was quoted during the reservation. Instead of $18 per day it was $33 per day. Don't know if this is because of Kayak or Economy, but buyer beware.Opinión del 9 jul 2021
