Desventajas: 7 flight delays, over 1 hr 20 min to board, poor service, reboot entertainment system 4 times
Desventajas: My flight with Air Canada from Barcelona to the final destination of Atl was an awful experience. Our flight was delayed for no apparent reason causing my friend and I to miss our connecting flight. The Air Canada crew did re-book our connecting flight, however there was so much confusion on whether or not we had to go through customs since we landed in Montreal and our new flight was with Delta not Air Canada, that we ended up rushing through lines after lines of customs in the Montreal airport only to learn we could have avoided it all. On top of that, we were told multiple things about our baggage. To be safe we tried to go through customs and pick up our bags to be rechecked, but our bags weren't there. When we asked they said they had been put on our Delta flight, however in actuality they were stored in a closest. Needless to say, our bags did not travel with us and my friend and I had to spend hours at the Atl airport trying to locate our bags and arrange to have them flown to Atl and delivered to us. The flight itself was okay but their in flight entertainment options were awful. You either have to download the Air Canada app (which wouldnt download) or rent an Ipad for $10. The food wasn't great either. The crew members were nice but a little impatient and the bathrooms were gross. Overall, I won't fly Air Canada again.
Ventajas: Boarding and experience at terminal was good and smooth for the poor weather outside
Desventajas: Plane cleaning and confort, old plane and somewhat mean crew director.
Desventajas: We were quite disappointed when we were told there would be a delay due to mechanical issues after already boarding and being on the plane for over two hours. Imagine our distress at being trapped in a narrow seat inside the confines of a plane still sitting on the tarmac and going nowhere with very limited climate control and circulation that added even more discomfort. This level of stress was compounded by the manner in which our minimal nutritional and hydration needs were not only met but as fare paying passengers, we were teased by a meager slice of packaged and processed sliced banana bread and a mere two cups of water. This fact is especially important because it more severely impacted my father who is diabetic and it was not sufficient for him, especially at 11:44 p.m. Also because there was no communication relayed to passengers that the problem would not be resolved the second time we boarded, Air Canada agents should have recommended or handed out dinner vouchers while we were waiting in the airport after they evacuated us the first time (since everything was closed the second time we were evacuated). We were stuck on the plane for a total of 4 hours two separate times they boarded us and in between that we waited back in the airport for 2 hours; therefore a total of over 6 hours of time past the original boarding time which lead us into 1:30am of not going anywhere. Flight was rescheduled for 23 hours later! We understand the challenges of operating an airline and trying to meet schedules and the needs of the customers. Furthermore, we appreciate diligence when it applies to the safety of flying. However, the myriad problems, distress, physical and discomfort not to mention the over 23 hellish hours, was exacerbated by the following: the lack of communicaton and bad information; the paucity of empathy reflected by all Air Canada employees toward our aggregation; the measures taken to mitigate the damage inflicted to what was to be our “dream vacation” and finally the scarcity of adequate accommodation and compensation for all that we endured. We too lost one night at the Barcelona Universal Hotel worth $207, not to mention a lost vacation day worth over $600 in salary for 8 hours for us. Air Canada should be held to higher standards and more responsible for keeping up to date on their aircraft maintenance checks and regulations. There was also no specific hotel address on the voucher issued which caused us to drive to two different sheraton 4 points locations until we finally reached our destination which there was no vacancy. Luckily after lingering around in the lobby and me having to call multiple hotels to verify vacancy, one room became available and we ended up inviting another family to stay in our room that night (other Air Canada victims). We didn’t get to bed until 5am that following morning after all of that ruckus!!
Ventajas: The people at the gate. Excellent the girl from El Salvador
Desventajas: The worst, the attitude of a crew member named Andrew.
Desventajas: wine selection divider between seats
Ventajas: Really liked the new touch screens (with very good responsiveness). Also liked the food selection (the champagne was nice, so was the menu we were given).
Ventajas: Crew was nice although one fellow was a little too “nervous” and looked bossy
Desventajas: Food was awful. Asked for vegan meal they got it half right, as vegan is not vegetarian. And the second meal or snack as they say was not vegetarian or vegan at all.
Ventajas: On time, staff was nice.
Desventajas: Not many options and not even a glass of champagne. That’s a minimal requirement. No sparkling water. Just very limited
Ventajas: Intranet meant I could watch movies on my iPad
Desventajas: Seats are very uncomfortable
Ventajas: The Crew was very good. I was with my 84 year old father.And they handled his needs very well .
Desventajas: The food of course was sort of mediocre at breakfast. The eggs tasted like they were man made.oh well maybe that’s really typical. Otherwise all was fine.
Ventajas: Nothing to say anything flight has been cancelled two time. My all commitment collapsed. Finally took train. Very worst service.
Desventajas: Flight shouldn't cancel at any cause even one passenger booked air ticket. Otherwise have to inform one day earlier. Lufthansa air service is very worst.
Ventajas: Good crew unlike previous experience a few months ago
Desventajas: The food was ok
Ventajas: very attentive crew
Desventajas: Only ham sandwiches on offer! I'm not demanding and would have been happy with cheese.
Ventajas: Best airline in the business quick efficient and outstanding service What else can you say
Ventajas: Crew was in a festive mood, the meal was unexpectedly delicious
Desventajas: Seats ok, but could be more comfy
Desventajas: The flight was cancelled and had to be rerouted on United Airlines.
Ventajas: Crew's hospitality, good music, good destination material, terminal info, good system overall
Desventajas: Less legroom, storage space, bad food, few movie options.
Desventajas: I now know the downside of buying through Kayak, the ticket is non-upgradable even when seats became open and I offered to pay for the upgrade.
Ventajas: Good boarding process. Friendly flight attendants.
Desventajas: Its a long, long flight so can't really complain too much. Overall, it was a good flight.
Ventajas: Crew was very friendly for the most part. There seems to be a chance in the way they interact with customers. It's noticeable. The food still is not bad, not great. Drink selection was pretty extensive and impressive. Free wifi for messaging apps is great.
Desventajas: Electrical plug is right at your knee level. Bread is rock hard an inedible. Plane felt very dry compared to other Delta planes. Would be good to know when the Wifi will be off (as it is off as we "approach the North Pole"). I wish we didn't have to repack bags that are over 52lb.
Ventajas: Early departure
Desventajas: Absolutely nothing
Ventajas: The crew were very friendly, sweet and accommodating. I had a seat by the exit which I luckily didn't have to pay extra for and the leg room was ample and really helpful on a long flight. The meal was pretty good, but I really wished airlines would stop wasting so much plastic - I think there should be a way we can support the environment better when flying.
Desventajas: I didn't realize Air Transat was a bare-bones airline (not that my flight was cheap in cost) - we didn't have pillows or blankets for the flight (10 hours) and had to pay for them! Seems like that should be standard on a long haul flight. The seats are very narrow with poor back support, and my back started to hurt 5 hours in. Many people were standing in the aisles as it was so uncomfortable. I was very cold throughout the flight, which was another uncomfortable aspect. One of the bathrooms was out of order which resulted in everyone using the same one - you can imagine how smelly and messy it got.
Ventajas: The crew was friendly and efficient, and made all the difference.
Desventajas: Since we booked online, we were told that we couldn’t pre-book our seats for this flight. So even though we arrived more than three hours ahead, we couldn’t sit together for this nine hour flight. After having the same thing happen on the way to Barcelona, it was really disappointing.
Ventajas: Entertainment system worked this time.
Desventajas: Departure delay. Delay on receiving luggage. Aircraft is not so clean.
Ventajas: Great price! For the price, we didn't expect much, just travel and get there safe - NO FRILLS. We paid a little extra for legroom and are happy this was not an inflated price. Paying in advance for our bag and getting a small discount was also appreciated. "Get what you pay for" without feeling "nickled and dimed" is what we consider economical and fare treatment.
Desventajas: Again "you get what you pay for" is considered. However if I was to be critical, the choice of movies was a little stressful and one sided. (Star Wars and The Avengers). I brought my own entertainment but I felt bad for the Older generation who may have preferred something a little more relaxing and less CGI explosions. Also the interior decor and hardware of the plane was seriously aged and worn, which could use for an upgrade soon.
Ventajas: Courteous crew
Desventajas: Didn’t leave on time
Desventajas: It was very cold they need to lower the temperature.

Desventajas: Impossibility to by drinks or did with bank cards
Ventajas: This particular flight was parked at the closest bay to immigration at Heathrow. So a late boarding and arrival was made early through not having a mile long walk to passport control.
Desventajas: Disorganized boarding with the plane load of people huddled around the entrance to the boarding area. No guidance from the crew on how to efficiently pack the overhead bins efficiently with passengers helpless to put their treasures into the overhead bins.
Ventajas: The actual boarding functioned ok and despite a late departure we got to Brussels ok. They also announced our boarding gates which helped.
Desventajas: The check in was shockingly bad. I had pre-checked in, but that did not help. I got put in a line for people who had not checked in. It was not possible to ask to be in the right line. Most of the people behind me were moved to another line while we waited for 30 minutes. When I mentioned the ground crew, who had long conversations with the people checking in, he said it was not their fault at all. It was not impressive.
Desventajas: Virgin seats are not the best business class seats out there...
Ventajas: On time

Desventajas: They didn't even offer complementary water,we were on the plane for 2 hours almost. Not friendly if you are pregnant or have kids

Desventajas: Paid for preselected seat in front part of plane, but got assigned to seat in the rear when I checked in on the airport, was there 3 hours before flight. No online check-in for this flight.
Ventajas: Service by crew/ excellent
Desventajas: Boarding process delayed and chaotic.
Ventajas: Flight was okay for a 2 hour distance.
Desventajas: Why bothering having an in-flight Sky-RAM Player app if it never works. Tried to connect ALL FLIGHT but no chance

Ventajas: The crew was very friendly. Family line was nice when travelled with the little ones.
Desventajas: I It will be helpful if the Gate information available within 6 hours of the flight. We don't have gate information and our flight within 3.5 hours. But overall wonderful experience.

Desventajas: Seat was broken. Would not recline. Challenging when already very tight Entertainment did not respond to use English as language choice

Desventajas: Long waits to get to the bathroom. Plane dated.

Desventajas: Initial flight from London to Rome left late, so missed connecting flight to Johannesburg. Although we were put up in a hotel and got a flight next day, missed another connecting flight, which was with another flight company and had to pay again to get another flight. No apology from the airline for the inconvenience this caused. The travel to South Africa was for an emergency and ended up getting there two days later.
Ventajas: Vuelvo muy agradable

Desventajas: Seating was the most cramped I have ever experienced. Service was relatively efficient and competent but not especially friendly. Really old entertainment system not easy to figure out. Lack of individual air control.
Ventajas: Short trip from Rome to Milan
Ventajas: Pros: I made it to my destination alive and saved money over other airlines.
Desventajas: Cons: The flight was delayed and then boarding and waiting to take off took so long that we were 2 hours late. We were seated in what must be the plane's worst seats: right in front of the stinky bathroom. Those seats don't recline and people keep coming to wait for the toilet, but worst of all is that the toilet smell was awful. I asked to be moved but there were no open seats. I don't know why the toilet had not been well cleaned, but in general the airplane was not very clean. I didn't like the food on this flight, on other air Algerie flights food has been better. The flight attendant also ran out of tea before getting to my row, but never came back with more so I wasn't offered tea. I think this was not worth saving a bit of money over a better airline.
Desventajas: Transfer in Algiers
Desventajas: I had broken seat,. The plane was dirty

Desventajas: BOarding in Algiers took very long time waiting in the corridor
Desventajas: I ordered Wheel chair for my parents but one of them didn't get it at all. When my parents were checking in for flight they asked the representative about meal selection and she didn't answer their questions properly and because of that my mom didn't get proper Hindu Vegetarian food on flight instead she got Egg omelet which she couldn't eat. She has to eat just fruits. My mother is a diabetic patient and she needs a food every after some time. I never had such a bad experience before with any other airlines.
Ventajas: Friendly and efficient crew. Flights were on time if not even early.
Desventajas: Inflight was better than I expected. But needs upgrading air crafts.
Ventajas: Good food, friendly service

Desventajas: Estuvo demorado casi 40 minutos y al momento de recoger equipaje también se demoró 25 minutos en comenzar a entregar maletas.
Desventajas: At the check in they made me pay 50€ for my luggage. This is really upsetting because from Houston to Venice they didn't make me pay. Either the website wasn't transparent or the lady at the desk made a mistake. Very upsetting, one luggage should be included.
