Desventajas: Despite being told I was in a quiet room I was woken on both nights by noise from the street and a dustcart sitting outside for 30mins from 6:55 in the morning. If you want quiet get a room at the back of the hotel. They are nicer as well. I knew this was going to be an issue from previous stays the Reservations team seemed powerless to sort this despite a request five days in advance.

Ventajas: A mi hija y a mí nos saludaron como si fuéramos realeza. Todo el mundo es amable, eficiente y profesional. El Ritz es precioso y siempre está limpio.
Los camareros son muy adecuados y la comida era fabulosa.
Recomendaría encarecidamente el Ritz, porque sin duda no te defraudará.

Ventajas: Beautifully decorated for Christmas, the choir at the afternoon tea were lovely to listen too. The staff were attentive and accommodating. The rooms were big and comfortable, we felt like we’d gone am back in time a little. The turn down service was also a lovely surprise. Bed was very comfortable and the aircon/heating unit worked well. All the little touches like the robes, slippers and toiletries were lovely.

Desventajas: Todo lo demás - personal cortés, pero muy poco servicial a la hora de resolver problemas y hacer que los huéspedes se sientan cómodos. Servicio lento - la habitación no estaba disponible a tiempo - las vistas desde la habitación eran a las tuberías de vapor. Una de mis estancias más decepcionantes en comparación con las expectativas (y visito Londres 6-10 veces anualmente).
La habitación era vieja (estaba limpia) y no estaba actualizada para ser un hotel de lujo.

Desventajas: Veníamos del Savoy , donde en la habitación había cafetera Nesspreso con cápsulas y tetera con diferentes té.. y en la habitación del Ritz no había ni plancha, ni adaptador de corriente para extranjeros , ni cafetera ni tetera y faltaban enchufes al lado de la cama para cargar móviles .. nos esperábamos mucho más

Desventajas: Surprisingly there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room itself. The reception area seemed smaller than we expected but I think that’s because of the huge gorgeous Christmas tree! Our room was an hour late being ready however the lovely lady at reception got me a seat in the Rivoli bar and a free glass of champagne to apologise for the wait which was very much appreciated!

Desventajas: La rubia recepcionista muy poco afecta a explicar claramente ciertos pasos en el check-in. Tampoco muy voluntariosa para indicarme dónde cambiar moneda dado que en el hotel no pudieron cambiarme un billete de 50 libras. La visión desde la habitación era hacia la calle de servicio y techos vecinos.

Desventajas: No fan in the bathroom. The small bathroom was very wet/steamy after a shower. No roast beef on Sunday. There was a switch to turkey because of the season. Couldn’t get one of their Eton mess cocktail. Unfortunately it appears that one should order the cocktail a day in advance so that some of the ingredients can be prepared.

Ventajas: We arrived quite late in the evening (having expected to arrive much sooner but got delayed) so had not eaten. Despite the restaurant (The Game Bird) being full the receptionist managed to arrange for a table in the American bar (which was also very busy but they went to great efforts to squeeze us in). The food was delicious and cocktails were amazing (if potent!!). The choice of toiletries in the bathroom was excellent. Beds very comfortable. Housekeeping staff very attentive.

Ventajas: We arrived quite late in the evening (having expected to arrive much sooner but got delayed) so had not eaten. Despite the restaurant (The Game Bird) being full the receptionist managed to arrange for a table in the American bar (which was also very busy but they went to great efforts to squeeze us in). The food was delicious and cocktails were amazing (if potent!!). The choice of toiletries in the bathroom was excellent. Beds very comfortable. Housekeeping staff very attentive.
Desventajas: It is not a legal requirement to provide ID when checking in to UK hotels. I was asked for ID and produced my work ID, which the receptionist wanted to copy. I refused to allow this for security reasons. She then demanded another form of ID (trying to suggest it was a requirement - not a request) so I was forced to search my luggage in the lobby of the hotel (hardly the most respectable thing to do in such a grand setting) to find a driving licence. She then took and copied this. They gave no assurances about data security, so please give careful consideration to complying with this request because your passport or other personal information could end up easily stolen if it's not shredded, and could still to this day be saved on their computer systems.

Desventajas: The view - we couldn't tell from our window whether it was still light outside in the evening as our window looked out onto a dark wall. Staff - When booking, I had stated that there were 3 of us which showed up on the reservation and I also made a note requesting a bed for our child. This was ignored by the hotel and our paperwork said 2 people on check in so when we checked in, we then had to change our room. When arriving at our room, we were disturbed by 3 different members of staff - one to bring in the bed (this was fine) who stated someone would be in to make up the bed, then another person came 5 minutes later and said the bed was in the wrong place, then a third person came about 10 minutes later to see if anyone had made up the bed. Parking - extortionate price for parking, this was not mentioned when booking and you are unable to park on the nearby street for longer than 4 hours so we had no choice but to pay for valet parking. Getting to and from our rooms - waiting more than 20 minutes for a lift is ridiculous! It kept going up to the higher levels and when it arrived at our floor it was too full, however the stairs said fire exit only.

Desventajas: NO PUDE DORMIR NADA porque por debajo del hotel pasa el metro cada y 15 minutos hay una vibración y un sonido horrible!!! Además, el lunes por la mañana a las 8.30am me desperté con un ruido terrible ya que en la calle hacia donde daba mi habitación estaban haciendo obras y comenzaron a taladrar durante toda la mañana. Tuve que recoger e irme de la habitación. Pienso que tenían que habérmelo comentado cuando hice el check in ya que habría escogido otra habitación más silenciosa, la verdad que todo lo positivo que tenía el hotel desapareció con esta pésima experiencia. Cuando me quejé en el check out lo único que me dijeron fue que la próxima vez me asegure de pedir una habitación en otro piso!!! Y no me hicieron pagar un chocolate que había cogido mi hermana del minibar... sinceramente me esperaba mucho más por parte del hotel.

The staff were attentive; complementary luxuries abounded (slippers, robes, yoga mats, umbrellas, wifi, fresh fruit, water), the minibar was extensive with snacks, drinks, phone chargers, spa products, just about anything you could need. The location was perfect - right in the middle of London, with park access, easy tube access, a friendly and convenient retail area around the corner for pubs, bakeries, and shopping, all with a view of the London Eye and Big Ben from our room). They made great use of technology to make sure housekeeping is always on top of everything, plus 24 hour room service and 3 room service menus (including one from Nobu!). The room was on the small side (by American standards only), but incredibly well appointed, clean, crisp and modern, with all types of power adapters built into the desk. I have recommended them several times.

Ventajas: Lo mejor del Hotel es donde está ubicado. Ahi se acaba las cualidades. Está clasificado como un hotel de 5 estrellas pero no lo es. El agua del baño sale rápidamente caliente y eso se agradece. No hay ruido por las noches y eso se agradece. El Televisor es la caña incorporando el Google-Chromecast para que puedas ver tu serie desde el móvil. Un puntazo para el hotel. Pero si no tienes ese conocimiento olvídate de ver ningún canal en castellano ya que no están sintonizados. otro gesto de desprecio al idioma más hablado del mundo!

Desventajas: Hay muchas cosas que mejorar. En el baño no hay sistema de calefacción. Solo un seca toallas que ni funciona. Y eso hace que pases frio en el baño cuando sales de la ducha. EL sistema de ventilación cuando lo puse en marcha sonaba como el diesel de mi abuelo. luego ya se calmó y no hacia demasiado ruido pero los cambios de clima se producían muuuy lentamente. Si te toca dormir en el lado derecho de la cama olvídate de cargar el movil ya que en ese lado no hay enchufe. INCREIBLE pero cierto. La moqueta del cuarto da yuyu y le toca cambio. Este no es un hotel de 5 estrellas, a lo mucho de 3. Si desayunas en el hotel preparate ya que cuando hayas acabado de desayunar será cuando te traigan el café. Lentos no.. lo siguiente!! Aunque he de decir que cuando les dijimos que estabamos hartos de que nos trajeran el café al final entonces si se esforzaron y nos lo trajeron a mitad. No hay ningún sitio para fumadores. en ninguna parte del hotel. pregunté a tres personas y cada una me dió una versión diferente. Las ventanas no se pueden abrir del todo. La ducha es muy estrecha. Más que la de mi casa que es estandard por lo que el momento ducha es momento incomodo; además de que no tiene mango de ducha por lo que si no quieres mojarte el pelo te aguantas. Sin olvidarme que la mampara es de adorno y se salió toda el agua en el baño. un placer pisar agua por todo el baño.... Los ascensores son desesperantes. Tardan en llegar y tardan en activarse con lo que cada movimiento interno era desesperante.

Breakfast is really good, and the room service (curry, and club sandwich ) was also very good. The room was acceptable, but can definitely do with an upgrade.

Desventajas: No me gustó el sistema tan moderno de control de temperatura, luces, y de todo en la habitación , es excelente si funciona bien , pero no, si falla como nos sucedió a nosotros, a las 00:00 hrs. y nos tuvimos que cambiar a esa hora de habitación porque estaba heladísima y las luces no las pudimos apagar ni controlar la temperatura. Si bien es cierto nos cambiaron de habitación y nos pidieron disculpas fue muy desagradable. Creo que falló el sistema de mantención. Alfombra en la habitación , no me parece adecuado.es antihigiénico.

Desventajas: Whin i arrived it was 10 pm, no body was their to help with the luggage, next day room service didn’t clean my room had to call them again at 8 pm to clean and i left the hotel, came back at 11:30 was still uncleaned called they told me well send you some body to change the sheets and change towels and waited till 2am in the morning and nobody came. Ventajas: I liked the staff very much. Hotel employee at check-in was very efficient and lobby staff were very quick to help me with my bags or call me a cab. I loved the location, best of both worlds, close to the shops and on a beautiful park.
Desventajas: YES ! THE BED !!! I am still nursing an injured knee. The bed was too big for the room plus it had a frame which took up even more space from the room. Other than that it was a comfortable mattress and nice quiet room.

Desventajas: The management. The best measure of a hotel is when things go wrong not when everything is going well. During my stay the water supply was cut off. Despite the management knowing of the cut they did not tell their guests (computer letter under the door would have done). I had to wash down in the sink with water heated in a kettle. I complained 4 times. At no stage did management approach me to apologise. No discount was offered (other than a 60p bottle of coke). They could have claimed from the people who had caused the water issue and discounted their inconvenienced guest, but no. Management is reactive not proactive and actually don’t care about their guests issues It is a basic requirement to have hot running water when you are paying circa £400 a night. I don’t recommend this hotel and will never stay again I am a spire ambassador member of IHG and a lifetime gold card member of Bonvoy (Marriott ) so I know how good hotels should be run.

Desventajas: Creaky flooring in bedroom (really annoying). All the furniture in the room was dented /damaged to some degree. Walls are made of plasterboard so one could here neighbours and their creaky flooring when walking around. While the room was prepaid, during check out a non explanatory no purpose service charge was requested to be paid with no option to opt out as advised, which we contested subsequently. New ways of ripping customers off???? Disappointed!!! So beware!!

Desventajas: Room was very hot on entry. Opening the windows solved that although there was a lot of noise from machinery outside. Very noisy. No instructions to coffee machine. Also there was a door into a utility cupboard with lots of computer / telephone wiring that should have been locked from a child safety perspective. Breakfast was very pricey but then it's not a cheap hotel.

Ventajas: La ubicación del hotel es fantástico, lo único que le salva de momento.
Desventajas: El hotel esta muy viejo y va a cerrar sus puertas el 2 de enero 2020. Esto se nota en todo. Nada de mantenimiento, todo viejo . Dormimos en una " suite executive" , pagando el up-grading. La calefacción no funcionaba bien. Tuvimos 2 radiadores móviles extra en la habitación, pedimos otra manta ( vieja y con manchas). Los muebles desgastados que daba pena. Resumiendo, el hotel va a cerrar sus puertas para siempre con lo cual no se gastan ya nada en nada. Para una cadena como Holiday inn una verguenza.

Hyde Park close walk, Oxford Street shops close walk, Buckingham Palace close walk, Hotel is older with some refurbishments (appears they are slowly refreshing rooms?) our room had a new bathroom but some original parts still remained in the main bedroom area which looked tired... All in all; Nice and clean, Comfortable, Great sized rooms/area, good amenities in the room

Desventajas: The room service food was DISMAL! I just wanted to stay in one night and got a pizza and salad. AWFUL. Seriously, could barely call it a pizza, but instead a glob of dough. The salad was drenched in dressing and barely edible. Well, the bottle of wine and the sparkling water were good :)

Desventajas: Unfriendly staff, starting from the reception finishing on bar. They treated us like they were doing us a favour to check us in or sell us a drink. Water in the toilet was constantly running. Towels were thin, room had too many furnitures for the size so it felt very cramped. The noise in the room prevented us from having a good night sleep, we were on the third floor and still could hear people on the street until 3 am and from 7am delivery trucks. I would expect better soundproofing from the 5 star hotel! Room service was very long, waited an hour for an Apple crumble. Missing all those little touches that I expect from the 5 star hotel. Waste of money. Really bad value for money.

The staff let us in to our room when we arrived very early and then looked after our luggage on last day after check out. Room was very basic but all that we needed. Comfortable warm and cosy. Like everywhere in Europe expect stairs.

Ventajas: The location to Oxford Street and public transport was great.
Desventajas: This accommodation is set over a couple of different sights, and is multi-storey with no lift. So in our case we carried our luggage up a steep narrow staircase only to carry it back down again, and up again when you are given your location. The included breakfast is not exactly continental rather toast/croissant, cereal and beverages. If you arrive late into the breakfast time slot often the “buffet” table was littered with cereal. If perhaps the staff could manage a welcome smile, it would of made the experience a little more enjoyable. The “daily” room service was perhaps a shack of the bed covers, maybe a fresh towel placed on the bed or left outside in a plastic bag. The complimentary tea/coffee might be refreshed, we stayed for five nights and this happened once. At least it was very close to town and public transport.

Desventajas: We were a large family of 7 and from far abroad so had large luggages so the stairs to the accomdation didn't help us however if it was summer and we had less luggage, the location would be great to get around. Oh we didn't like the boring breakfast of just a few bread, speads and cereals.
