Travelers who will be coming from the city of Puerto Vallarta can simply head south or north on Boulevard Francisco Medina Ascencio and follow the airport signs.

Aeropuerto Internacional de Puerto Vallarta consists of one main building that has two floors. The main floor has the public area with an information desk, some stores and restaurants, check-ins, arrivals, baggage claim, and the escalators, stairs, and elevator leading to the second floor with waiting areas, security checkpoints, stores, and restaurants. Aeropuerto Internacional de Puerto Vallarta serves Aeromexico, American Airlines, Aviacsa, Azteca, Aero California, Alaska Airlines, ATA, America West Express, Continental Airlines, MagniCharters, and Mexicana. The airlines depart from one of the airport's six gates. Car rental desks are on the ground floor between the entrance doors.
The main terminal is easy to navigate, so tourists should not have a hard time getting from one area to the next. The information desk is central on the ground floor, and tourists will find answers to any questions that may arise at this counter.
