It truly doesn't matter if there is a monster living in Loch Ness or not. What's attracted visitors to this area for centuries is the myth and mystery surrounding the legend. But there's so much more to see and just than just go Nessie hunting. There are castles (both standing and in ruins), historic battlefields, garrisoned forts, gardens, museums, and many other attractions designed to give visitors an idea of the lives of those past as well as give an understanding of the people who still make their homes along the Loch edge.
