Aurora, a city which spans four counties in Illinois (Kane, DuPage, Kendall, & Will), is the third largest city in the state. With a wide array of activities second only to Chicago, the self-proclaimed "City of Lights" (named thusly because it was one of the first communities to adopt all-electric street lighting in 1881), Aurora is a great city that few tourists know about, making it the ideal spot to stop on a road trip or simply an off-the-beaten path vacation.
